I stayed for just one evening and had to leave before breakfast the following day however Glenda happily made a breakfast for me especially .I was really pleased by that as it was an hour before the usual time and I didn’t expect this service 👍

Clean and beautiful with lovely hosts and a huge cooked breakfast! Gorgeous view of the garden. Only tiny issue was that the mattress was very firm!

Friendly, easy parking, convenient for shopsPosted Jan 24, 2018
Lovely people, nice house, great breakfast. Very nice private bathroom, bedroom quite small. The parking was right outside the house on the street. The place was quiet and peaceful with a very pleasant garden

Lovely welcoming Hotel. Very cosy and had everything you could possibly need...towels, all luxury toiletries, shower cap, hair dryer the list is endless. Home baked cake on arrival and lovely breakfast. The owners were very friendly but respected your privacy...Beautifully looked after every where; very comftable. The only thing was, my room was rather small. However, this wouldn't stop me returning, it was lovely.

Wonderful place to stayPosted Nov 10, 2017
Homelands is a lovely guest house, we found it easily and were welcomed by Glenda and Daniele, who are such a friendly couple from Tuscany. Their little touches were lovely, such as home made cakes. Our garden suite was pretty and private, the bed was really comfortable. Our only negative was the very cold tiled bathroom floor, perhaps underfloor heating might help for the winter months. Breakfast was excellent, with a cold buffet including fresh fruits, cereals, and yoghurts, plus a full English with local produce. The main house was beautifully decorated and well kept. The town centre with shops and cafes is a short walk away, as is the castle and the river, both of which are beautiful. we ate at one of the Indian restaurants in the evening - All Spice and that was excellent! We would definitely recommend staying at Homelands Guest House!
Homely b&bPosted Oct 25, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed as a couple for 2 nights as we were in the area for a friends wedding. The accommodation was lovely and clean, and we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. What I really liked were all the thoughtful touches such as homemade cookies on arrival and letting us borrow their iron and recommending taxi companies. I would not hesitate to stay again!

Fabulous little gem of a guest house!Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Spotlessly clean Ultra comfy bed Great breakfasts Attention to small details like ground coffee and cafitiers in the rooms and beautiful soaps etc
Cons: Nothing - It's fabulous and fantastic value for money.
I stayed here whilst on a course in Castle Barnard. The Italian owners are absolutely lovely. Nothing is too much trouble to ask of them. Me being vegan did not phase them at all - vegan cake was left in my room and vegan butter and almond milk produced for me at breakfast along with delicious home made bread. As well as fresh fruit, cerials, jams etc I had a cooked breakfast of mushrooms, tomatoes and beans. A parting gift of an Italian recipe was given to me on departure. I can not fault the place or the owners - top notch. Can't wait to go back and stay there again next year - if not before!

Homelands Guest HousePosted Oct 1, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Very comfortable and cozy.
Location: The hotel was located close enough to all of the shops and to the location for my work.
The B&B was convenient to the site I was working at and also within a good walking distance from the local shops and restaurants. Glenda and Daniele were very cordial and competent during my stay. I visit this area annually and am looking forward to returning to this hotel.
