Only issue was that there were no shelves or drawers in room 108.
It seems that once upon a time there were shelves down the rhs of the wardrobe but not any more!
Otherwise a good venue to stay at.
As far as the hotel it was fabulous very comfortable beds good lighting amazing bathroom with good products the restaurant let’s this hotel down tiny portions of overpriced food came out still hungry the plates looked like they had samples of food on them
Stayed in Room 7 noisy throughout the night from corridors and doors banging, presumably staff in early hours. Next door bathroom noise very audible. Staff communication poor.
Restaurant menu limited and food disappointing.
Very poor. At breakfast we waited 30 minutes to be seated only to find the buffet virtually empty; bits of food did keep appearing but it meant we were in and out of our seats and/or waiting around in the buffet area, my wife had to leave for an appointment so ate virtually nothing. Tankersley is a dog friendly hotel, which we didn't realise but there really should be some separation of spaces. We had a barking dog close to our room which kept us awake most of the night. Dogs also spoilt our evening meal, with very bad dog odour in the bar area and several large dogs consistently barking. This made enjoyment and conversation very difficult with elderly relatives who were our Christmas guests that evening.
We are regular guests but may not stay again.
The staff were actually working very hard but appeared to be under staffed. The young male server we had on the evening of the 27th was excellent.
We loved staying at the Tankersley Manor Hotel. The whole set up and establishment was extremely enjoyable.
The staff at the Tankersley from the reception, cleaning, swimming attendants, bar staff were extremely thoughtful, kind and caring.
My wife was ill on the later part of our four day stay and the cleaning staff checked in on my wife to see if she was ok while I travelled to get her some medications. All staff were open to Ideas and were helpful in making our stay as good as possible.
We would recommend the Mercure Tankersley Manor Hotel to anyone who is looking for value and service.
A great group of people who work well across the board, understand their business and together are a well oiled machine. Thank you for our stay we truly enjoyed it and would return for sure. A five stars from us!!
Bathroom paint was peeling off the wall, not the standard to be expected from the Mercure chain.
Restaurant menu for me was very limited with not a varied selection. On day two had to go to the Brewers down the road to get a steak.
