Great location and service

The staff are friendly and the room was so clean and tidy that I would go back for a second stay. There's a lot of great restaurants nearby and a big mall.

Two Weeks in Barranquilla

I went to Barranquilla from August 11 thru the 24. My trip was for my wife (Colombian), to visit her family. I did stay at the Country Inn, which was a very nice Hotel and a pleasant stay. I had a nice Junior Suite for the two weeks that I was their. The room was always kept very clean, when I always returned from my morning breakfast (also left small tips for the housekeepers). Maybe I had some minor issues, my first couple of days at the hotel, but really nothing, because everything was corrected immediately. The morning Colombian Breakfast was great! And I looked forward to it every morning, especially the fresh juices, and the great Colombian coffee, which was delicious. I did have some physical issues during my trip with the heat and the humidity, which was dam extreme. At times, I would have arthritic flare ups in my lower back. The hotel staff always told me, if I needed a Doctor, they would call one for me (Free of Charge)! I never took them up on their offer, because the Aleve I brought from the States seem to help. The Staff at the Hotel are top notch, very very nice and accommodating to all my needs. Another big positive of this Hotel is that it is centrally located in Barranquilla. Their are many stores, restaurants, and a Mall very nearby. Again, Buffet Breakfast at the Hotel is just GREAT!

Good hotel but.....

My only complain about the hotel is the security, the room they gave me didn't have a security box even though whoever I spoke with via email assured me that every room had one. Someone from the hotel went through my belongings and stole money ($150 USD). I brought the issue to the manager and staff manager of the hotel and they didn't show much concern about the issue, didn't report the robbery to authorities and told me that they were going to review the security tape; they also told me that anything that goes missing on hotel property was not their responsibility... What kind of policy is that?! I'm paying good money to stay at your hotel and bringing you business, that's not the way of treating a paying guest. It's being two days and I haven't heard from the manager on the issue.

Efectivamente yo soy Mily Pérez Pérez la persona que atendió su caso y como le informé personalmente el hotel no se hace responsable por objetos de valor o dinero dejados en la habitación, las cajillas de seguridad deben ser utilizadas como lo indica el registro hotelero que usted firmó, en el caso suyo podía utilizar las cajillas de seguridad disponibles en la recepción. Las cámaras de seguridad fueron revisadas y las únicas personas que ingresaron a la habitación adicional a ustedes fue la Camarera y la persona de minibar, éstas personas son de confianza y llevan años laborando y trabajan de acuerdo con la filosofía organizacional de la empresa.
