Nice Quiet stayPosted Nov 9, 2015
The staff is friendly, quick and helpful. They took the time to wish me a happy Thanksgiving. The jetted tub is heavenly. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of nearby places to shop and eat.

Very handy. Right off the highwayPosted Oct 24, 2015
Pros: Convenience, clean and affordable w/continental breakfast
Cons: The taste of the coffe at breakfast
Location: Don't know, except the restaurants and mall.
We had a doctor's appointment booked in Toronto for the following day, so it was convenient.

Adequate.Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Close to the highway.
Cons: Perhaps hall supervision, someone (security) walk through at night. More coffee in the room or a better (keurig or tassimo) machines.
Location: On Bayfield St., many many restaurants nearby and close to the highway.
This hotel is adequate, surprised we had to pay $200 up front - damage deposit. However, after staying there I realized there are many sports teams/fanatics/parents, etc. This hotel is used by the many who attend all of the tournaments in Barrie - a sports town. We had many young people (a little drunk - a lot noisy). Room doors were slamming into the wee hours of the morning, loud guests on their cell phones in the hall, two packages of coffee in the room - one reg, one decaf..the smallest cup of coffee ever. Internet was not reliable at all, TV was limited very limited. No frills at all. My husband says he will NEVER stay there again, I would be he wouldn't. So, we very likely won't stay there again. And there isn't a designated parking area for check in, we had to park way at the back and then walk to the door to register. The ice machine on our floor was broken. Just not an overall positive experience. Also when it is cold, it would be nice if the room temp could be adjusted ..I was freezing and the curtains if closed - the heat goes right up inside the curtains and not into the room.

Well located but cleanliness need improvementPosted Oct 17, 2015
Pros: The convenience of continental breakfast, the location and easy access to businesses.
Cons: Above all, cleanliness and fairness towards customers being utterly inconvenienced, beyond only an apology. Pool should be cleaner and warmer.
Location: We loved the nearby arboretum and walk trails and the variety of restaurants and malls.
Loved the location near malls, walk trail, park, restaurants. Already had unpacked and settled in, then realized beds had not been changed! Front desk moved us to next room, utterly inconvenienced us but agent did not even offer a discount. When made reservation they did not let us know that hot tub was not available due to being repaired. Not a happy camper here.

Booked because no hotels availablePosted Sep 28, 2015
Not clean/ old mattresses/ door was open to our room before I even opened it. Gave me trouble when I asked for a checkout beyond 11am ( most hotels give noon as standard now). I didn't get a later checkout. Bedding had stains and someone tore the door handle off the rear passenger side of my SUV during the night. I'm assuming they were trying to break in. I would not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Comfortable bed, furnishings and carpets nice and new. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons: Fix the problem with the room keys which kept needed to be renewed at the front desk.
Location: Right off of Hwy 400. Could be a bit awkward to access when traffic was heavy but central to everything Barrie has to offer.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were great. The room cards kept losing the programming because I had to get new 'keys' made up 3 or 4 times. I couldn't get into the outside door and/or the room. That was frustrating because I wasn't feeling well and the front desk was quite a long way from where the room was.

Pros: staff and facilities were great
Cons: no complains :)
Location: just stopped off en route, so we didnt check out anything nearby
Great hotel. Easy check in. Good wifi. Clean enough pool area ( very quiet ). The hot breakfast buffet was a surprise bonus!
