"No comunican que el cierre de la piscinas es a las 7pm y llegue de vieje a las 6:50 porque no me comunicaron que cerrarían a las 7pm para agregar más fue el domingo y el lunes no había el parque acuático en pocas palabras perdí mi viaje solo pude disfrutar unas horas del lunes en la piscina de afuera que a mi parecer para lo que pagué no es nada agradable dijeron que me enviaran boletos para regresar otro día y aún sigo esperando el correo electrónico las instalaciones muy cómodas pero el personal mal servicio "

"I have been around the Lake Wally/Hawley + area for 40yrs (first owning a small summer place on the lake & as a local camp nurse for 20yrs), I always wanted to stay at Settlers--dined there many times--visited the gift shop, even looked into the rooms--finally got the chance--Wonder/Beautiful/Tranquil/Unique!!!"

"The owner is nice as can be, but unfortunately I have to be honest in this review- My night there was not pleasant by any means. Parking was a bit of an issue as the bar/restaurant loaded the parking lot and then there were cones out on the far end of the parking area which really made it hard to park. Front door to the room didn't entirely shut which allowed flying bugs into the room all night. There were gnats or something all over the room- on the pillow, on the bed, in the bathroom. The light outside the front door attracts them. The light in the closet does not shut off. Switch in the hinge area is faulty. Awful trying to sleep with a light blaring into the room all night. Shower water went cold about 45 seconds into me getting a shower. Not ideal. No wifi- which also meant no TV. The TV also turned itself on several times throughout the night searching for wifi which woke me up 2 or 3 times. There's no cell service either, so the lack of working wifi really didn't help matters. The bed "rocks" side to side and is very low. A lot of the furnishings were brand new, which was nice. Friends of mine got the room for $65 cheaper than I did booking through Expedia."

"We stayed for two nights. It was generally clean, and everything we needed was in working condition. My kids enjoyed the pool, though they wished the pool towels were larger. The staff was pleasant and helpful and patient, which helped when checking in late at night. There were no weird smells and we could not hear any of the neighbors. I understand now why it's technically a two-star hotel but has such a high rating from guests - it's a conveniently-located, decently priced, clean place to stay, with ample parking, nice staff, and it has a working pool and free breakfast. Not much more one can ask for :)"

"Check-in was terrible; we stood in line for 45 minutes to check in. The room was clean except for a couple of rose petals that must be from the previous occupants. The game room token machine did not work, so we could not play some games. Dinner was horrible, limited choices, which I did not mind, they were not prepared well. Salmon and chicken were in water, the steak was tough, and they should have trimmed all that extra fat. Entertainment and recreation were good."
