Pleasant hotel close to public transport.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast plentiful, but at a price.
Cons: Without discount might be considered a bit expensive for the facilities offered.
Location: About halfway between railway station and river Rhine. Well served by reliable and frequent tram services. Easy access to historic centre.
Modern efficient hotel, clean and friendly. Large, but with plenty of space for communal use.

Minimal space, but adequate for me

Of the two things very important for me in a hotel, Dorint had a fitness center (open 6 am to 10 pm), but did not have a bath -- shower only. The room was of modest size and although there was a closet, there were no drawers. The room was of modest size, not very spacious, but adequate for my needs.

But hotel provides a free Bus/tram pass that stops very close. 25.00 breakfast.

Good value in convenient location

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. Although the immediate surroundings are not very attractive it is conveniently located and good value (although breakfast is expensive). The staff are generally pleasant and helpful. The beds are not very comfortable as there is only one pillow and the duvet is too small. On weekdays there seems to be quite a lot of traffic noise affecting rooms on the lower floors facing the street.

Business hotel, near Congress center

Good location, close to congress center and historic downtown (5' walk/1 tram station and 15' walk/3-4 tram stations respectively - tram travel free with hotel pass) as well as easy access to the major Basel A3 highway (under 5' fairly straight), large parking garage at reasonable rates, suite with everything to prepare own meals with 3-4 supermarkets close by within 10' walk or 2 tram stations (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, utensils/plates); stuff friendly, helpful, English speaking; highly recommend and would stay again

Very basic

Pros: it was a bed for a few nights
Cons: better comfort in the rooms, 2 chairs would be a start
Location: location was good for the trams and buses
No fridge, only a kettle in room with cardboard cups, no coffee or sugar. don,t even think about the breakfast, it is rubbish
