All in all, a very pleasant stay

Clean and quiet. The best: the whole family was offered a pass to use the tram freely during all our stay. Very appreciated. The worst: wifi is not offered but charged 25$ a day. And they tried to charge me 3 days for a less than 48 hours stay.

Central, beside trams and station.

Cons: Bit dated but really fine. Under beds needed hoovered but in general was good.
Staff gave us maps and helped us to work out where to go. Really easy to get around and plenty to see and do.

Good quality, reliable hotel.

Very nice hotel. Bathroom cleanliness could be better (mildew on tiles) and TV could be updated to newer models (very old LCD screens!). Excellent American buffet breakfast and amazing, friendly staff as always expect from the Swiss. Thank you very much.

Need To Pay In-Room Wifi, What!!!

We were bit worried as some of the reviews gave very low points for this hotel; which we don't agree: the Basel Hilton is more than good enough as rest of the Hilton with typical Swiss services; the room itself is modern and very comfortable; the breakfast is okay for a 4 stars hotel. The Most irritating thing is 'Paid In-Room Wifi' as nowadays very very FEW hotels do; also there is NO slipper provided. Overall we DO recommend this hotel and we may come back.

Convenient for SBB Station

Nice hotel, very convenient for the SBB rail station. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was comfy and clean.

Pleasant hotel

Nice hotel, friendly reception staff, good location in relation to city centre and train station. I would have expected something better than paper cups and no milk for tea in the bedrooms.

Great location, feels a bit dated

Very conveniently located pretty much right next to Basel train station. Décor could do with an upgrade. Rooms do not have individual ironing boards - had to go to a maintenance room next to the elevators to iron my shirt for a meeting. Food at restaurant was fine, but seemed a bit pricey for what it was.

Convenient and nice

Very nice hotel, less than five minute walk from the train station. They give you a metro pass which is convenient to visit other neighborhoods

Pre-cruise stopover

This was a pre-cruise stopover for the Viking Rhine River cruise. As we arrived by train, the location near the station was very convenient and it was a short cab ride to the cruise dock. We skipped the overpriced hotel breakfast for lighter fare in the station. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
