Great location near public transportation

The very quiet trams stop in front of the hotel, making it easy to travel anywhere quickly. The public transport ticket we received entitled us to unlimited travel on the trams and buses which were all clean and efficient. The room was clean and well-tended. Staff were kind and courteous.

Great location!

First time visiting Basel so wasn't sure where to book accommodations. This hotel was the perfect location and I would stay there again

Good hotel for short stay

It was a nice hotel but quite pricey for the room it offered? Very compact room & bathroom was compact too for the price we paid for it, not value for money. They also overcharged us then the price quoted by Hotel. Com? Seeking explanation from hotel.com for this as we booked through them. Hotel was very quite at this time of year? We stayed 3nights there but very few tourists? Not worth the money? Location was great, close to many local attractions hence we enjoyed the location more then hotel. Free wifi & friendly staff.

Old, expensive, and low level service

Overly priced with outdated building and facilities. Rooms are very small and the drains in my room were not working. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk officer, I got an insincere sorry.

Refurbishment opportunity

Pros: Great to be able to have a swim every morning! The staff were very efficient and friendly.
Cons: Refurbishment of public areas in line with contemporary traveller requirements.
Location: Good location on number 6 tram route. The public transport system in Basel is great.
In a very expensive city, the hotel represents good VFM. However some of the decor is a little tired, particularly in the public areas such as the lobby which would really benefit from refurbishment. I was travelling with a friend, and we each had a room, and if we wanted to be relaxed and comfortable we had to use our bedrooms as the hotel lacks a lounge area with comfortable seating.

Excellent value and location.

This was a very pleasant surprise! I knew the hotel was in a great location but had not tried it in previous visits. I have changed my mind! The room was good sized, clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that the bed was very hard but some people might like that. I did not try the in-restaurant dining because it is so conveniently located in Basel. I was very happy with my stay and would highly recommend it for business or pleasure trips.

Great Hotel in Basel

Basel was lovely and the hotel was great and perfectly located. It was easy to get anywhere in the City.
