Palazzo e camera splendidi in una location da favola al centro dei Sassi di Matera. Sia dalla camera che dalla terrazza del palazzo la vista è impareggiabile.

宮殿だった建物を改装したホテル（他の人も書いているように、朝食会場へ続く回廊はまるで美術館のよう）で、とても快適に滞在できました。今回はジュニアスイートに泊まりましたが、部屋は２人にはもったいないくらい広く、バスタブも付いていました。我々の部屋からはカヴェオーソ地区のサッシがよく見えましたが、ジュニアスイートでもサッシが見えない部屋もあるので、サッシビューの部屋を希望する場合はあらかじめリクエストする必要があります。 やや不満だった点は、部屋に湯沸し器がなかったことと、せっかくバスタブが付いているのにお湯が風呂に溜めてつかるのにはギリギリの温度までしか熱くならなかったことです（冬だとお湯につかるにはちょっと厳しい感じです）。

4 star in Matera
Beautiful hotel, aircon great and was needed. Breakfast not the best choice although the coffee was great. Staff excellent. No bar or restaurant but loads nearby. Superb views from the roof top terrace.

Fantastisk gammelt hotel
Dejligt hotel som ligger midt i det gamle Matera så det er dejligt nemt at komme rundt, da hotellet er midt i byen. Fantastisk kæmpe værelse fik vi med udsigt ud over grotterne. Og det er nemmere at komme til hotellet end vi troede - GPS’en førte os lige til døren. Morgenmaden kunne godt trænge til en opgradering var meget kedelig.

Great stay. Parking available on the property. Called the hotel when I arrived in Matera and the hotel rep guided me to the property and parked my car in the courtyard. Room was great, and the property was beautiful. Within easy walking distance to the main duomo, and the rest of the sassi.

As "palace hotels" go, this one is only middling. The architecture is fairly bland. Our room was mostly hard floors and hard walls. Compare the roomful of art you get at Castle Ivrea near Valle d'Aosta (NW Italy), or compare the Schloss Hirschorn above the Nekkar River in Germany--both of those are far more impressive. And you have to drive through a lot of pedestrian-only narrow streets to get there by car. We parked below the town (only 100 yds from the hotel), but the online map didn't show that the connecting trail was a set of super-steep, long stone staircases. So carrying suitcases up is a no go. I absolutely will not stay there again. Wonderful people, though. Oh, and the breakfast was disappointing--a lot of food there but not much of it we could eat. Has nobody heard of whole grains?

Fantastic spot
Amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are a decent size, and ours had a beautiful view of the Stassi. The 1st floor where breakfast is served, is a beautifully preserved palatial residence with some gorgeous paintings. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is a short walk to all the sights and in a lovely part of town. The only difficulty is finding the place, and driving through those narrow streets but the hotel staff were very helpful and guided us, on the phone, right to the hotel door.

Beautiful small hotel in historic centre of Matera with spectacular views. Steps from the sassi area. No restaurant but Town has lots. Nice breakfast. Hotel will park your car for you.

The hotel was the first genuine palace we ever stayed at. It had rooms filled with art and lovely antiques. It was also modernized to high standards. It is located next to the cathedral so it was convenient to the caves we wanted to see. An exceptional experience.

Fabulous experience staying in such a glorious building with amazing views. Hugely convenient for travelers like us, older and needing our car parked securely. Matera is not an easy town to get around in so the Palazzo was perfect. Our room was attractive, large , comfortable and everything worked beautifully. The view from the loo was extraordinary!

Hard to find
Very difficult to find in Matera.Needs signage to indicate direction.Lots of other hotels had signage but not this one.Once finally arrived hotel was excellent but a lot of stress finding it as GPS doesn'the work well in Matera.

Great hotel,difficult to find
The hotel was great and staff friendly.We found it extremely difficult to find the hotel and spent a frustrating hour driving around.Apparently GPS doesn't work well in the city.Even a call to the hotel didn't provide clarity.A Matera police officer gave us the best help. There was no signage with the hotel name unlike other hotels.This would help as the streets are very confusing.
