Nice hotel and roof top view

Posted Mar 19, 2017
close to the beach and city center. Lots of places walking distance to eat and entertainment. Kind of slow in the offseason

Convenient and confortable stay.

Posted Oct 31, 2016 on Hotels
Friendly staff, offer to help parking the car on site, underground hotel own garage (reasonable charges) Help with luggage. The room was a good size with nice beds, confortable pillows and well furnished: classic style, plenty of storage area, with street frontage and partial views of the water in the distance. Lunch at the roof top restaurant was very nice, good food and friendly and efficient service. Unfortunately the carpets in the corridor leading to the rooms were stained which gives a wrong impression of the hotel. The hotel shows some aging but in general it does not take away from the comforts it offers. Very convinient to the town and the beach. Nice stroll back after dinner.

expensive but worth it

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Fabulous pool and bar area on the roof with great views over Biarritz. A 15 min uphill scenic walk back from town and beach but great to come back after a long hot day to swim in the pool. Restaurant on the roof looks good and not too expensive but didn't try it as prefer the buz of the in town bars.

Great location. Perfect hotel for a short stop

Posted Jul 4, 2016 on Hotels
Very brief stopover on the way to Spain and the hotel was perfect for that. Good location right in the centre of town close to bars and restaurants. Easy to find and self park car park with lots of space at hotel. Makes life easier - 20 Euros for a night not much more expensive than a standard car park and so much more convenient. Didn't use the swimming pool on the roof but it looked nice. Room was a little dated but large, clean, good shower and comfy bed. Good view towards the seafront. Good and easy check in and check out.. Would stay here again for sure.

Comfortable hotel in interesting resort

Posted Jun 14, 2016
Pros: Quiet location, with bars nearby; not too far from town centre, provided you are mobile with no walking difficulties. Spacious bedroom.
Cons: Extra supplies of coffee and milk sachets to those provided in the room. A wider choice of cocktails and more congenial bar service.
Location: Close to old port which has lots of bars and restaurants. Not as close to the beach as the map suggests as there is a steep climb to the beach.
Stayed for a week in June on a room only basis. The hotel is only 15 minutes by taxi from the airport and a walk of 5 minutes down the hill to the old port area which has lots of bars and restaurants. Pleasantly surprised by the elegant buildings, mix of French and Spanish culture and food in Biarritz. Most waiters are able to speak a little English. Lots of interesting places to walk and wonderful sea views. Quiet at the start of the week, but the second half coincided with the annual "Waves and Wheels" festival (surfing and biking) with noisy motorbikes roaring around the old port area and bikers congregating at specific bars. The bikers caused no trouble but they detracted from the ambience of the town. The Tourist Office provides information about the local bus service to places like Bayonne, a mediaeval walled town which is good for a half day visit, but there were no organised trips available in early June e.g. to La Rhune.
