Good Solid Hotel, Great Location, Great StaffPosted Sep 20, 2015
Well Run hotel, nice pool out front, close location to restaurants, shops, Bastrop. Not a spot I would want to spend a long stay in, but absolutely nothing wrong for a long weekend stay.

Hotel in BastropPosted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: The location
Cons: The hotel staff
Location: Not too far from downtown Bastrop which is quite enchanting.
Hotel service was extremely unprofessional and rude. Check in process took about 30 minutes because the staff was having a "shift change." The room was nice but the carpet was wet. The ac unit was very noisy and made it hard to sleep. Overall the place is efficient just not pleasant.

Nice hotel, one caveatPosted Jul 14, 2015
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, with one exception. And the hotel was clean, the staff friendly, but the mini fridge in my roomwas loud enough that it was difficult to sleep.

Not very goodPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Hotel desk was apologetic after giving us an occupied room.
Cons: Better cleaning - maybe new tubs, etc. Tub soap tray cracked, grout missing, large chip on tub.
When we first checked in, went up to our room and walked in and it was someone else's room! There were clothes and shoes on floor and felt as though someone might be in the shower. Immediately shut the door and went back down to desk. The guy was apologetic. He then put us in room right by the elevator and it was noisy all the time!!!! People talking very loudly. If we hadn't brought our own fan (for noise reduction), we wouldn't have been able to sleep. Normally Best Westerns are fairly good, but it seemed this hotel wasn't as up to par as most.

DISAPPOINTING STAY.Posted Jun 20, 2015
Location: THIS HAD NO FACTOR WITH OUR DISAPPOINTMENT.
WHEN WE UNLOCKED THE DOOR TO OUR ROOM, THE SMELL OF SEWER IS WHAT GREETED US AND IT WAS COMING FROM THE BATHROOM. WE FOUND ONE OF THE HOUSEKEEPERS WHO FINALLY FOUND SOME AIR REFRESHNER BUT IT WAS SO WATERED DOWN IT DID NO GOOD THEN SHE FOUND SOME OTHER REFRESHNER AND IT DID HELP SOME. THE YOUNG GIRLS WORKING THE FRONT DESK WERE UNFRIENDLY AND UNHELPFUL. WE WERE THERE AND HAD BOOKED FOR TWO NIGHTS DUE TO THE FACT OUR HOME HAD BEEN FLOODED AND THE FORECAST HAD US BELIEVING IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. WE DID NOT SO CHECKED OUT BUT WERE CHARGED THE SECOND NIGHT ANY WAY. WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS RATHER MEAN UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. WE ARE ALREADY UNDER A LOT OF STRESS AND THIS STAY ONLY COMPOUNDED IT. THE BREAKFAST WAS NICE AND HOT BUT THE EATING AREA AND FOOD AREA WERE NOT CLEANED AND A MESS. WE ARE USUALLY VERY SATISFIED WITH BEST WESTERN FACILITIES AND THIS ONE BEING FAIRLY NEW WE THOUGHT WOULD BE VERY SATISFACTORY. IT WAS NOT A PLEASANT STAY AND WE WILL NOT BE STAYING THERE AGAIN NOR RECOMMENDING IT TO ANY ONE.

Acceptable, better when not filled to capacityPosted Jun 20, 2015
The hotel was adequate for the price and a reasonable alternative. It took 20 minutes to check in, more than 15 of those minutes were spent trying to find front desk staff. We stayed Tuesday to Sunday. The hotel was mostly empty until Friday. Once the hotel was full the internet failed to connect, we could not even manage to check email. they clearly lack the bandwidth to meet the needs for the number of rooms.

Check in gal was unprofessional and actually sick.Posted Jun 17, 2015
There were employees walking all over the place talking to one another, one jumped over the check in counter to grab something. The check in gal was sick and coughing. When she took my credit card I wanted to wash it before she gave it back. Although the hotel was maybe booked with 15 rooms, we were given a room on the side with a giant street light right outside our window. Breakfast was...gross. Old pastries, awful coffee, canned gravy etc. I wouldn't let any friend of mine stay here. We live in the area and will definitely spread the word that it was subpar. It wasn't worth the money. Wish we would have just stayed in a 2 star.

three disappointing issuesPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: overall ok,
Cons: trash in parking lot was terrible, bird dropping on sidewalk, parking lot and pool area was disgusting better signage from freeway to street hotel
Location: convenient to Chill's restaurant
1: report micro fridge not working in room in day of check-in, told it would be reported and I work be contacted next day to have checked--never happened--reverted to using a borrower cooler 2: went to business office on 13th to do flight check-in, toner message was showing, tried to copy was so faint could not read so went to desk to report, no one there, tried again on 14th, same message, went to desk, was told had no access to replacement cartridge, very disappointing as travelers such as I use to print boarding passes among other uses. 3: was totally disappoint in the bed comfort, was way to soft and by the third night barely slept as was so uncorfortable. figured was no use reporting due to lack of response from above issues.
