Last minute booking

Cons: Thicker blankets.
Location: Nearby Nagoya Hill Mall. like about 5 min drive.
had my last minute booking wt Mercure Batam. We had the Deluxe Room. With the amount me and husband was very happy with the room. Tap water was clean. Bed is comfortable. Just that the aircon was too cold even after putting it at 30 degress. Blankets did not help cause its not as thick as other hotels we went to before. Staff was pleasant too. Will come back for sure.

Hotel looks abit run down, but overall still not that bad. however, the air-conditioning isn't working that well and i cant adjust the temperature. there is no room service menu in the room, flushing system isn't working that well also. bathtub water also drained away very slowly.

Staff is good.Very friendly and polite.Room not so cold.Requested for the same level for all my 5 rooms booking but I got it scattered on 2 levels.Very frustating.And the room is not even side by side Its one end to another end Please rectify.Other then that is good.:-)

Mercury Batam

Emily & the Front desk team were professional. This review has no reflection on there customer service. They were fantastic. I was told upon check-in that I would have Free Breakfast. I went to the restaurant the next morning & was rudely & loudly told, in front of many people ,that I was not eligible for a free breakfast. When people heard this, they started to laugh. I was humiliated & I was very embarrassed. I asked to speak with the manager & I waited 10 minutes. I spoke with him twice & he is clueless to customer service. He started to explain the Mercure Company policies to me...how poor is that! The customer is always number 1. I have stayed at the Mercure brand hotels before but I will never stay at a Mercury hotel again. I have been travelling for the past six months and without a doubt this place is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. When I checked out I requested a Bluebird taxi. (They are the ONLY Taxi in Batam that uses the meter) The hotel management refused to call Bluebird for me. I called them myself.
