Great spot. Comfy stay.

Only thing that was strange was it is a smoke free hotel yet our room and another down the hall had an old smoke smell in them. Especially in the bathroom. Also wish they would have had more choices to choose from for breakfast.

Pros: Friendly staff
Our room reeked of mildew. The kind gentleman at the front desk got us another room, but it was just as bad. When I got in the shower, there was mildew on the shower curtain. The pillows even smelled like mildew. I'm not sure if they flooded last year when others in the area flooded or not. Both of my kids have terrible allergies and after a one-night stay, they were at urgent care the next day and are now battling sinus and respiratory issues.

Pricing games that try to rip you off.

Pros: Location
Renovations are announced for later in 2017, so keep an eye for that. Other than that, be on the lookup for the pricing and listings, especially the ones that list 'breakfast'. When we got the listings, there was an option to add breakfast for $15, as with ANY HOTEL EVER in the US, you would expect breakfast for the room, not the case, that is breakfast for ONE person... and its a ripoff, not $15 value for what you get (two basic items + a drink), so look up for that and don't fall for that.. shame on Expedia and the hotel for allowing this to happen, but in today's worlds of price compare sites, they need to resort to airline style tricks to get their listings showing up higher... I reached to Expedia and they blamed the Hotel, nothing else was done about it as far as I know.

Choose Courtyard Marriott Acadian in BTR instead!

This Courtyard Marriott has gotten very old & run down, there was a big sign by the elevator that said they will be renovating later on. I stayed at Courtyard Mar. Acadian location in Baton Rouge the night before, and it was soooooo much better, newer & nicer that I was truly surprised by the difference! Even the frittata was better at MC Acadian as the ingredients were mixed in with the egg. At this location it more like on top of the egg. I asked the waitress about how to get the tv on in the booth to work, and couldn't so I sat at the bar to watch tv.
