Nice hotel close to LSU

The only choice for parking was valet. The hot water did not work in our room. We had to take cold showers to get ready for the day. I then told the front desk. It was supposed to be fixed by the time we got back from LSU. 12 HRS later. And it wasn't fixed. Maintenance came at 9:45 pm to fix it and replace the shower handle as it was broken. He did not leave until after 10pm. Not impressed with Hilton.

Ehh, just okay.

We live in BR, but just wanted a room for the night. The hotel is just okay. Maybe because the pool was closed it wasn't amazing. It's really nice and a good location downtown BR. The view isn't good, but we didn't really care about that. The only reason why I rated it "just ok" is because the lights in our room didn't work and since it was so late, we didn't notify anyone, but I did mention it and I thought that they would do more than just say, "we'll get it fixed." I don't care now, I just wanted something in return. Also, parking is $22 valet or you can park outside which will be $15-20 each time you left. I probably would stay somewhere else next time.

Good location

The only good thing about this hotel is staff and use of the shuttle (as long as not more than 5 mi away). My sisters room had no water for shower the first night. So she couldn’t shower. When asked to have her room comped they said no. Wanted to give her $22 in valet parking. (We had no car). Our next night there our room had no hot water. Also room service trays with leftover food sat in the hall for 3 days!!! I couldn’t believe it. But the staff and breakfast were wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating.

Close to the capital

Valets to busy in there phones to provide customer service. Toilet issues in the room as well.

We were disappointed in the bed and the view

We requested a balcony with a river view with a king size bed and did not get that. The WiFi was so slow that we could not use it. The staff was not friendly at all. We will not stay here ever again.

Not worth the price

Cons: Better communication. I called the valet to get my car, they didn't answer, so the front desk said they would alert them. I came down to no car.
Location: Looks to be in a good location, I was just passing through.
Please note: they accept dogs. Which is great, unless you are in a room next to a dog, where the owner has gone out for the evening. After about 2 hours, the dog owner was finally called and came back and proceeded to scream at the dog for whining and barking. He then dragged the dog down the hall. It was very disturbing for me and my kids, when I came there for a good night's sleep at a safe location in BR. When checking in I guess just double check if they have any dogs near your room. I will be doing that at Hilton's going forward. The hotel is safe, somewhat updated, but still had an "old" feel to it - mildew in the bathroom, shower curtain was too short for the shower, so water all over the floor, tile could be scrubbed etc. Beds were nice. Work out room was nice.

This hotel was extremely dated with poor service. The room service was incorrect and cold. The valet was not very welcoming.

Clean and comfortable room

upon arrival several buses were taking up all of the parking spaces for check in, Hilton valet directed me to a parking spot while checking in...30 minutes later I return to find a boot and a note on my car stating I had to pay the hotel across the street $50. The front desk personnel had been so unfriendly at check in that I didn't even bother trying to get reimbursed for the parking fiasco. The hotel is very nice, the room was comortable and clean, the only problem with this hotel was the unfriendly desk personnel.

Old and not maintainrd

Hot water did not work in shower, phones did not dial to valet, room service, etc., and room was not clean in all aspects i.e. shower, bed, bathroom. The hotel bar was the only positive quality.
