Had a problem, but maintenance and receptionist corrected it. Was disappointed when I checked out early that I had to pay for the entire stay time. The area was under a flash flood warning and a tornado warning and the area that we had to travel to get home was affected by the tropical storm also so we departed early. There was a notice posted by the newspaper's that they would be understanding and accommodating about early checkout but it didn't happen.

Nice Place to Stay

About what you would expect from Holiday Inn, good rooms, decent hot Breakfast, decent location.

Port Allen Holiday Inn

The check in and check out staff were awesome. Did not like that the sheets were nubby and the morning breakfast staff would not get off their cell phone and help guest. Great towels and washrags.

Perfect for our stay

The hotel staff was great, the room was nice and clean. We wound up staying in a handicap room, because there was a problem with the hotels.com booking, so there wasn't a bathtub. Not an issue, the issue lay in the unsafe environment that the roll in shower caused- or so I believe. The water got all over the bathroom floor and with two small kids and my senior mom, we had to watch our step. A few towels cleaned it up, but I hope that the hotel takes a suggestion to add an additional drain across the width of the shower door.

Clean Hotel

Everything was very good except the pool. The water in the pool was not the cleanest.

hit and miss cleaning

Pros: Evey thing else was good. Breakfast was good
Cons: Have their boss have a check less for house cleaners go by.
The first day they did not clean room, Second day towel only ( Thanksgiving day) Third day they almost got it right. No cups in bathroom or for coffee for third day and no coffee, tea, no Kleenex, What made it worst I told the clerk every morning and evening

Great Room, Great Price

Our stay was wonderful. It was my second time staying at this location and the front desk clerk remembered me from my previous stay which was almost a year ago. She made me feel as if we had encountered each other directly. I told my husband whenever we had to stay in this area this is the place for us.
