Get hotel with a nice curtious and helpful staff!

The hotel was centrally located to your Universities in the area. The hotel was neat clean with a staff which are curtious and helpful. The rooms are clean,the decor up to date, and the rates are agreeable. Property safety is great. I will stay on this property on my next trip back to Baton Rouge.

Roaches in 201

Everything was great - until the roaches arrived our 2nd night! Juanita and the other hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room looked great. The showerhead was amazing - perfect after 8 hours of walking. Near our room there were many noisy families (attending a school sports tournament), but we were so exhausted that we didn't care. The outdoor pool was small but adequate. The breakfast was plentiful. If the typical breakfast offerings aren't your thing, Cracker Barrel is across the parking lot. There's also a family entertainment complex about a mile away. The location made it easy to travel between Baton Rouge, the nearby towns with plantations, and New Orleans. For the great Expedia price, we thought we'd found our go-to hotel. That was until around 1:00 a.m. on night two. I came out of the bathroom to see roaches of various sizes climbing up the wall behind the mini refrigetator! I killed ten before giving up and packing up. Being so late, with kids, I asked for a new room. They only had singles. I said I would take two single bed rooms for no additional charge. The front desk person agreed to the two rooms but hesitated at the no additional charge. In the end we got the two rooms, and he asked me to check the rooms prior to moving. He even tilted the mini refrigerators to check beneath them. We had an uneventful rest of the night and left that morning. If not for that disgusting moment and worrying about roaches in our belongings, this would have been a 5.

Very helpful staff!

Not a great neighborhood. Bathroom door was a slider and kept sticking. There is a great pool but it's right beside I 12 and very noisely. The breakfast was the same the 5 days we stayed. However... the staff were very nice and it was clean & convenient.

Awesome place to stay in Baton Rouge

It's always a nice place to stay...not my first time. I even made a mess with the waffle batter machine which had a broken spout. The desk clerk came and disabled it and cleaned up the mess and never lost the smile on her face...even though she was probably laughing at my distress. Thanks for a great stay!
