not my fave Springhill

Having come from a Springhill in Dallas, the bar was set pretty high. This hotel seemed dingy, dirty in details, edges, corners, doors and pool area. As I looked at the white tiles marking pool depth, I could see grime above the water line, ewww. I got out of the pool after that. The hot tub jets weren't working. It was out of towels, which might as well have been hand towels when compared the the large, clean towels offered at DFW's Springhill. Our rooms furniture has some laminate glued down,but some is broken off. When I asked about area things to do upon arrival 2 nights ago, I was told, "there's not much really to do in Baton Rouge, just eat". We ventured out today to a plantation and plan to visit a nature preserve tomorrow. The staff was friendly (just not highly knowledgeable) and helpful when requested, but this was really a different Springhill from DFW. Now I should go write them a glowing review.

All rooms have a roll out sofa bed. It mad it easier for me considering I had an extra child w me. It was me and my 4 boys.

When we arrived the young man wouldn't get off his phone with his girlfriend and acted like we were bothering him checking in because he had to hang up the phone with her. The old man at check out barley talked just asked our room # and took the keys customer service needs improvement big time. The bed was hard and uncomfortable the floor and walls were very thin. But it was clean nice big towels breakfast was good TV worked great
