Unbelievable. After check-in we dropped our stuff and left for 2 hours to return to find water on the floor around the toilet & the tank running. When I lifted the top off the tank, a hose was loose & sprayed water everywhere. I shut the valve off, replaced the tube, turned the water on-only for the tube to come loose again, so I called the front desk.
When I told the man that I found water on the floor, his immediate response was that a tube must have come loose and was leaking, so they clearly already knew what the exact issue was. He said he'd come up & take a look.
When he got there he said he could put the tube back in the hole. After explaining that I already tried that, it comes right back out when the water is back on, he said that's all he could do & maintenance would have to come the next day. I told him we would be checking out the next morning.
Rather than offering us a new room or any other logical solution, he told me to just turn the valve on/off when we needed to use it. Seriously?
Before leaving, he noticed the toilet paper was soaked from the squirting tube. When he saw that housekeeping failed to have another roll stocked in the room, he told me I could swing by the front desk for a new roll if I wanted one & left me with 1/4 roll that was soggy and no offer to BRING me one. FINAL STRAW? When he left, I used things I had with me to rig up the toilet for the night and while doing that, noticed a crack pipe in the bottom of the tank!! Unbelievable.
