disappointed couple

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Service to room; constant hot water and room heating the electric heaters are just not up to the job.
Location: Great location with lots of interest
Room was cold;unmade room service to start with and one day missed completely on a three day stop over. The shower only gives one shower then needs to warm up again. We were there in February 2017

Home from home

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Parking is limited but you can park opposite the nearby antique centre
This is a first rate B&B in a perfect location for seeing the best of Essex or nipping into London. (The station is a five minute walk away and has frequent trains which link you up to main line). The room was warm, clean, comfortable and had everything you could need including tea, coffee, bottled water - even a hair drier and an extra heater. The staff could not be more friendly and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted you to be happy and enjoy the stay. Breakfast was neatly set out offering a wide range of cereals, juices, youghurts. Cooked breakfast was available, freshly prepared and appetisingly presented. The little gem was the fresh fruit which was offered in individual kilner jars, an innovative idea to keep it fresh and germ-free, which I wish all hotels, restaurants and cafes would follow. Gold star to Georgie for coming up with that!

Very convenient for who we were visiting.

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Old world charm.
Cons: It was fine.
Location: Didn't have time to look around but seemed like a lovely village and ideal for antiques and militaria.
We had travelled 5 hours and were given very warm welcome on arrival. Lovely old house, very clean, warm and super breakfast on Sunday morning.

One Night B & B

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: The local restaurant/bar The Barge is excellent for food and atmosphere.
This is a comfortable B & B, friendly staff, clean and all the facilities you would expect, however it is tiny bit dated and could do with a makeover but aside from that an enjoyable experience.

Nice BnB

Posted Oct 30, 2016 on Hotels
Frasers is a nice little BnB, well maintained, nicely furnished and in a pleasant quiet area. On site parking, wifi, good pub/restaurants nearby, great breakfast. Rooms, at least our room, a bit small but otherwise comfortable.

Frasers if you like looking round antiques

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Location: Small village, good pubs nearby and lots of antique shops, retro stuff and shabby chic.
Comfy bed, good shower and facilities. Couldn't get TV to work but didn't worry us.
