Pros: Units are roomy and could easily accommodate much more than four persons (ask for extra mattresses), plus hot water or electricity was never a problem
Cons: The downside of Joseph Natale's vision, it seems, is that more resources will be necessary to finish & upkeep the estate in the same style and quality
Location: Snorkeling is a must-do (it is affordable & doesn't require training) and anybody could live off local seafood (red snapper, shrimps, lobster) forever
Roatan is a place of contrast: luxuriant reef, fauna and flora on one hand and an industry of tourism apparently fluctuating with every cruise ship arrival. Fortunately for our family, we appreciate being by ourselves and Club Natale provided exactly that at the peak of the December holidays, for some odd reason in the ebb of tourism these days. We could imagine the four main condos (there are also other properties on the lot) could amount to a big party atmosphere at the bar-restaurant (known for its cheaper drinks) and around the pool, but when only one or two condos are booked, it can become extremely quiet and restful, with beautiful vistas from any balcony! If you are independent and ready to plan your own adventures (or parties), then Club Natale will accommodate you or find locals willing to help out (at a generous fee) - which gives you the best of contemplative and adventurous lifestyles. The vision of Joseph Natale is easy to grasp: a guarded miniature castle with an infinity pool facing a private lagoon with your own beach, far enough (but not too far) from civilization - in this case supermarkets in Los Fuertes or evenings out in French Harbour.

Quiet getaway with very professional staff

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: There wasn't much NOT to like. Sure its off the beaten path, but it also gives it more of a home feeling than being stuck on the main resort strip.
Cons: Nothing
For starters, the hospitality we received there was second to none. Everyone there was very professional and made us feel at home. The condo was very nice, and the full kitchen was an added bonus. The beach area was also very nice and relaxing, and having free snorkeling gear to check out made it even better. I don't have anything negative to say about this place - and am already planning a trip to go back!

Club Natale Rocks!

Pros: It was extremely spacious and centrally located on the island
The staff is AMAZING, extremely friendly, and very accommodating to all of our needs. They took very good care of us. We spent a week there and the time flew by...we were quite sad when we had to leave.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: On a hill overlooking a private beach on Brick Bay
You will not regret staying here. Rooms are lovely and huge, as well as individually furnished and decorated. I stayed with a friend, but this place is also perfect for families. The private beach, a 5 minute walk down the hill, is simply beautiful. Select any shell on the beach - chances are, there is a crab inside of it! The property is gorgeous but the real selling point is the staff. Foster was amazing - he welcomed us on arrival, let us check in early, arranged us a taxi to and from Little French Key, with a tour of the area and a stop at the recommended grocery to pick up ingredients for our own home cooked tropical extravaganza - all for a very small fare. He also gave us recommendations for places to dine in French Harbour and then drove us there! There was a book in our room with handwritten suggestions and recommendations in both Spanish and English! There are just so many personalized touches here; head and shoulders above the typical resort experience. I will say it is somewhat remote, so its a good idea to have cash in small denominations for your bar tab and for taxi fare before you arrive. If you are looking for a relaxed spot with all the amenities and none of the crowds or hubbub, this is the place for you. DO have the Club Natale cocktail. Its amazing.

Our stay at Club Natale

Posted May 4, 2013
Pros: the outstanding staff
Cons: the lack of daytime security, the bugs
Location: somewhat remote, you need a vehicle while there. The beach is pretty but rocky.
We just returned from a week's stay at Club Natale with another family. Each family rented a condo. The units were large, fairly clean but not luxurious. Ours (condo 1) was very basically furnished and had no cutlery, only a few dishes, not enough pillows, four towels in total, no cloths for washing dishes, and no dish soap. Our biggest concern was the lack of security. Our dead bolt and balconies did not lock. There is no safe, so valuables were not secure. With it being Honduras, I think a full time security guard should be provided. There was only one at night. The pool area is excellent, not much shade though. The grounds are nicely maintained. If you have been to West Bay, the beach here is more rocky. If you like to snorkel, you have to take a kayak out and it is best to have Anthony guide you. The beach bar was not open. The best part of the stay was the staff! Foster, Anjelo, Yulisa and Anthony took excellent care of us. We asked them to cook suppers for us and the food was authentic, excellent and very reasonable. They made great drinks and were kind and genuine. They need to hang on to these four. There was no included maid service during our 8 day stay.If you choose to stay here, you definitely need a vehicle. It is a long, windy partly paved, partly dirt road to the property. Many of the things advertised on the Expedia website were not available. Maybe that is because it was low season, but it should not be listed if it is not included anymore.

Great hotel, excellent facilities and staff

Posted Apr 8, 2013
Pros: staff, facilities, privacy, not crowded
Cons: restaurant has weird hours
Location: a little secluded if you want to explore the island
This hotel is really a gem. You have your own private beach, which is gorgeous and almost usually empty. The hotel staff is very accommodating. They went out several trips to bring myself and my two girlfriends something we needed. The villas are very large with a fully stocked kitchen (with the exception of food), large family area, dining room table, and three large bedrooms with two full baths and one half. My one suggestion would be to plan on eating out for dinner or buying groceries to cook - since the kitchen sometimes closes early and taxis can get pricey to go to and from the store at night. This hotel is definitely a hidden gem and only about 25 minutes from West Bay, the famous beaches on the other side of the island. The villas are perfect for big families and/or large groups wanting to stay together.

Great for a family.

Posted Mar 2, 2013
Pros: The view from our balcony was superb. Also, we felt very safe there.
Cons: Long bumpy road to get there.
Location: Privacy was wonderful. It was sort of like being in someone's private home.
This condo is one of only 4 in the complex and would be good for a family. It is quiet and out of the way. The private beach was lovely and the staff was very kind.
