Final Chill-out

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Pros: The views from lounge and main bedroom were the highlight. Everything was clean and in good order, comfortable beds and well-laid out kitchen area.
Location: Paihia has a ferry to Russell, the original capital and various boat trips around the islands for dolphin spotting. Waitangi Treaty Ground nearby.
Having spent over 3 weeks driving the length & breadth of North Island following the British & Irish Lions, we needed 2 days to relax before travelling back to the UK from Auckland. We were not disappointed with this booking for this purpose. A warm welcome from Doug, the manager and an apartment overlooking the Bay of Islands was complemented by lovely sunny weather. The two-bedroom apartment suited us all and all the necessary kitchen equipment was clean and in working order. Waking to the sunrise set us up for the day when Doug had book the Bay of Islands trip for us (with discount) A ten to fifteen minute walk along the coast road takes you into Paihia seafront area with shops, bars & restaurants - a good variety to choose from. A great find and this was their winter! We then had a lovely, relaxed drive back to Auckland Airport via SH16 which takes you to there directly.

Pros: The sea so close you could hear the waves. Great private spa pool. Good selection of tea and coffee. Very quiet.
Cons: Bathroom could do with some updating.
Location: Great location. Beach and town within walking distance.
Lovely view, quiet, yet within walking distance to town.

Pros: Location and facilities.
Cons: Drawers for clothes in bedroom.
Location: Walk to treaty grounds and the wharf for tours.
Everything you could need for a great holiday - from BBQ on the balcony to a combination washer/drier.

Good views

Posted Apr 9, 2017
Pros: Lots of tea and coffee and other supplies eg cooking oil, foil, cling wrap, laundry detergent. Dvd's, games and beach towels available to be borrowed
Location: Central to activities in bay of islands. Supermarket just around the corner.
2 bedroom apartments have 1 flight of outside stairs then another flight inside up to the bedrooms. This made getting the luggage up and down difficult.

Top quality apartment, just lacks s personal touch

Beautiful apartment, fantastic views. Complete facilities, only slight let down was the staff. Although the guest guide states that rooms are serviced daily, the bed was not made and no fresh towels until we requested.

Perfect Paihia Location

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Travelling with another couple the 2brm 2 bath apartment sounded great. Unfortunately we got the short straw with bedroom choice. One was large with sea views the second brm King size bed in a twin size room with just inches to spare down the sides. Second bathroom downstairs with a massive spa pool taking up most of the room. The positive immaculate, quiet, great views, easy walk to town and Waitangi.

Fabulous location and facilities

The apartment was perfect . The view across the Bay of Islands was spectacular, and it was very close to all Paihia amenities, but also quiet and tranquil. The only slight negative was dodgy internet connection.

I Want to Return to this Hotel!!!

Just peeffect in every way. Perched up A hill, this complex has the GREATEST views. It's easy to walk down to the safe and calm beach. The management is very kind and offers advice when asked. The unit was recently remodeled with newer appliances. The two decks had just incredible views of the beach and bay. You could sit on the decks all day watching the boats. I woke up to the sounds of a Maori group performing their morning chants on the beach below. I would return in an instant.
