Comfort and valu

Comfortable, quiet room with one queen and one twin bed. Our garden view was the parking lot but it was okay because it was quiet. Road construction in front of the hotel so very loud. Two hours per day of free internet you can use in your room.

Nice Hotel Close to Everything in Paihia

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: The location of the hotel was great and our room was clean and well maintained.
Location: Kingsgate is a short block from the center of Paihia where you can eat, shop, relax or find any number of water activities.
Our room was a nice and clean. The bathroom had bright lights on either side of the mirror which was appreciated for grooming and make up. We did not take advantage of any of the hotel's amenities (pool, game room, restaurant/bar, etc). Wifi was free for the first two hours or 200mb, but it wasn't overly expensive to by more time/data.

It was good...clean and very comfortable! We only stayed one night so could not really comment on the other service.

Nice hotel with fabulous views

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar area, free swimming pool and spa.
Cons: Free wifi at all times.
Location: Easy access to all Pihia shop, restaurants and bars. Two minute walk to book any of the boating and bus trips and to the ferry across to Russell.
A very pleasant relaxing time. Managed to get a good inclusive bed and breakfast deal. The room was large and well equipped. Included a shower and bath. Plenty of choice at breakfast time and the evening meal on over in the restaurant was too good to miss. Two minutes walk from the shops and activity booking centre of Pihia. Would definitely stay agai.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Check out, the receptionist sniffed about 30 times while I was checking out. She did not greet me with a smile or say hello or good bye.
Location: Perfect
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Great deal; Service: Rude, Sloppy; Checking in was OK, but checking out made me embarrassed that this lady was in tourism and representing my country. No thank you for staying,

Ok but not for us!

Was a shame they only have double beds rather than queen to King, we had to sleep in separate beds on Valentine's day, with that we wouldn't stay here again and we travel to Paihia every few months!

Good value for money

Staid for a night with my son. Kingsgate is nicely located, room was clean and spacious, (continental) breakfast and room rate were adequate.
