Good choice for sightseeing in Normandy.

Posted Apr 18, 2018
Only stayed a night but it's a good choice for checking out the sights in Normandy and around the area. Place was clean and worked for what we needed. I'd stay here again if I'm out that way.

disappointed

Posted Apr 6, 2018
My family was terribly disappointed in our stay at your hotel. Breakfast became worse each day. The dinner menu had such minimal options that in one meal we ate half of the menu. The bathroom was difficult to function in due to the long sink/countertop and the short shower barrier. My husband is over 6 feet tall, there was no practical way for him to take a shower without there being a water mess just from him trying to move in the shower. And the wifi went out through the entire hotel which was only told to guests if they happened to see the small sign on the front desk while going in and out.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that the service did not live up to your expectations, and we ask you to accept our sincerest apologies. We will try to improve our offer. Unfortunately, due to a national technical defect of our ISP, the Wifi did not work during your stay. However, we have tried to mention to all guests that the computer in the lobby had a working Internet connection. This troubleshooting solution was not perfect and we fully understand your frustration. We hope that you will not hold it against us and we hope to welcome you during a future stay. Best regards,

We stayed at the property for one night, the reception was extremely helpful and spoke good English, thank God. The breakfast was good however more catered to a an American palate than a typical French.

Comfortable modern new hotel

Posted Nov 19, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Comfortable, handy to town and attractions.
Location: Near to Bayeux Tapestry but very limited transport to D Day sites. Tours only real way to visit the historic areas.
Clean and comfortable, reasonable breakfast. On the edge of town. Quiet

Family holiday in Normandy

Posted Nov 1, 2017 on Hotels
Very nice 3-night stay in the beautiful town of Bayeux. The Novotel was very comfortable: good-sized room, modern facilities, good breakfast and especially friendly, helpful staff, most of whom spoke excellent English. We used the hotel as a base for a driving holiday around Normandy. The Novotel was ideal for this - ample free parking, and situated on a roundabout on the outskirts of the centre for easy exit and access. Many area highlights are within a 90 minute drive from the hotel. We visited Mont St. Michel, the Juno and Omaha D-Day landing beaches, the Caen Memorial, and several towns in the Normandy countryside. Bayeux itself has its cathedral, the Bayeux tapestry, and several restaurants situated around old centre. The hotel is a 20 min walk from the town centre. That's not much at the start of the day, but a bit of a nuisance when trudging back after a large evening meal. That's the downside of its driving convenience. The free internet was very slow in the room but improved considerably in the lobby area.

Great Hotel for visiting Normandy Beaches

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Excellent hotel to stay in if/when visiting the Normandy Beaches and/or Bayeux. Easy to find and very conveniently located. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was very quick. Rooms very nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and was the dinner menu. Compliments to the Chef. The wait staff in the restaurant were very amenable and friendly. If/when I go back to this area will stay there again.
