My wife and I travel very infrequently, her sister hosted our Thanksgiving Fest there in Atlantic Beach. I've never booked anything using Hotels.com, I have $150.00 worth of your gift cards, so when I made our reservation on line I thought I was reserving the room with my debit card then use the gift cards upon arrival for the partial payment. As we were checking in Robby was on the desk, and stated that our room had already been pre-paid by Hotels.com and I would be unable to use the Hotels.com gift cards at this time. So that was bad enough, but around 9:00 am, 11/24/23, Room 208-B, I was showering, slipped and fell in the tub, on the way down I grabbed the shower curtain, bending the shower rod, the non-skid surface of the bath tub has worn off over time and was smooth to the touch, my back was sore for about a week and it appears that I'm ok, so I'm not considering filing a complaint. My wife was just outside the door when I fell, took photos of the bent rod, absence of grab bar, and the worn down surface bottom of the tub. As we were checking out we advised the maid service about what just happened and appraised BW's desk clerk the same information.
