TOO OLD, NOT FRIENDLY AT FRONT DESK, PARKING OFF.

Pros: NOTHING
WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FACILITIES. OUR ROOM WAS ON THE STREET, RIGHT BY SIDEWALK. THE PARKING WAS TOO HIGH $20.00 AND YOU HAD TO DRIVE 3 BLOCKS AWAY WITH NO ATTENDENT AND PARK IN A BUILDING. THE ROOM WAS NOT LIKE PICTURED. IT WAS SMALL. ONE LAMP, SMALL BATHROOM.

Worst stay ever - Motel 6 would have been better

We arrived and there was no parking even to check into the hotel. The gal at the front desk sent us upstairs (no elevators) to room 26. This was a closet (no kidding) masquerading as a room. Very small, the shower didn't work - no hot water. No hair dryer. The coffee maker wasn't plugged in and the electrical outlet was under the bed - almost impossible to find and reach. WiFi did not work on my computer at all. I needed the WiFi for business. The AC worked but was literally running water over the TV! When I aksed for help from the employee at the front desk the first evening, she had no response - literally "deer in the headlights." The next day, the new employee, Nayeli (amazing young women - the only good thing about this hotel), moved us to a new room and stated she would refund my money for the remaining days if I wanted to leave this hotel and stay somewhere else (I asked to do this). I agreed to be moved and she upgraded us to a balcony room with view of the ocean. The room was much nicer - real shower that worked with hot water, had a blow dryer in the bathroom and WiFi and AC worked. Coffee maker was working, too. However, the morning of checkout our electricity went out completely due to workers in the next room at 9am on Sat. morning! Unbelievable. We were able to get this fixed and then checked out of the room. I would not recommend that anyone stay here - go somewhere else in La Jolla - anything will be better. Hard to be this bad.

Ok hotel for a few days .

Pros: Location
Cons: New air conditioner
Perfect for sight seeing , shopping , restaurants , all on foot . Beautiful park , a block away with excellent viewing of seals . Staff very friendly .

Close to beach and restaurants

Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Location: Close to beach, watch sea lions very closely and good dining places.
This hotel is few minutes away from La Jolla Cove beach and is in the prime location surrounded by many restaurants for dining with ocean views . Hotel is not so great with old style bathrooms but rooms were clean with good a/c. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Guests are given parking in a nearby public garage for $20/day, which is a low price. There so called breakfast was a real joke and it is better they don't even offer it. Overall, for the price it was a good deal.

Nice hotel in convenient location

Staff at hotel was very helpful and friendly. Juan Eva was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Pros: The location.
Location: Great location. Many things to do nearby.
It's an OK hotel with very polite and useful staff. The front desk's girls are great and always ready to help. The location is the very best thing of it.

Wait Until after the Renovation

Pros: The location.
Cons: Needs a major update.
Location: LaJolla Cove....enough said.
It is clear they are getting ready for a major renovation. The beds are old and the facilities are a bit run down. You get what you pay for. The location is amazing, so that should have been the clue as to why it was such a good deal. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it didn't ruin the trip. Over all it was a pleasant experience.

This place is a dump

Everything is super old and feels dirty. Room number 8 bathroom was remodeled and the bed had clean linens but the carpet is old and stained, drapes torn and falling off the rails, phone and TV were like props because they didn't work. The phone didn't even have a cord. I could go one but I won't, just stay away from this place.
