Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel, very nice staff. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready but they rushed to get it together and while they told me it would take an hour it only took 30 minutes. I had a marina facing room and it’s very spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Portofino used to be good

Over priced valet. I asked front drakes to waive it because I come there so often and he said the manager will do it and then came back and said no. We had to get up to get our own drinks at bar. No waitress. Opened bottles of shampoo and soap every where. Most importantly we got bit by bed bugs all night. When we woke up it was awaful. I can go on but let’s stop here.

Great hotel! The only drawback is that it had a very small desk.

Nice location but overpriced

The hotel is in a spectacular spot on the coast and right next to the water. We paid a pretty substantial price with taxes and were shown a handicapped room on the first floor looking out at the parking lot. We asked for a room higher up which was accommodated. We were also asked to pay a “resort fee” which was ridiculous because this hotel is not a resort. All in all, it is nice but over priced.

Charming Hotel on the Water

Pros: Its location is excellent your right in the middle of so many things to do just a walk away! Love the ocean you wont be disappointed by your surroundings.
Cons: Need more then one Ice machine and maybe a new elevator.
Location: Location, Location! You're right in the middle of this beautiful beach town with lots of things to do. Sailing, Whale watching, Bike riding, shopping
The Portofino is a very nice hotel, it is clean and charming. It is an older hotel and this is obvious by the fact that it has one elevator that takes some time to move amongst its three floors. Also the only Ice machine available is inconveniently located on the first floor. It is definitely a wedding destination hotel as there were several wedding parties in and out of the hotel using the hotels banquet facilities. The hotels location however makes up for any of the flaws it has. Surrounded by the beauty of the harbor filled with boats and right on the channel to King Harbor it is a very scenic spot! The hotel provides bikes for the guests and is located to many bike paths and beaches. Not a bike rider there is plenty to do just a walk away. My room was lovely and had a very nice balcony to take in all the harbor has to offer. the staff was very friendly and eager to help! I will definitely be back.

Will never stay here again

I was excited to stay here. The remote to the television did not work so I had to manually turn it on When I got into the back and it felt like a whole bunch of lumps on top of me. It turns out the comforter has been washed so many times that the batting was clumping up. When I was ready to fall asleep I had to get up to turn off the TV and it would not shut off. I had to unplug it from the back. It was very disappointing

Beautiful place close to shops restaurants and activities so no need to drive. The staff are nice and the place is spotless clean
