Avoid Until Renovations are Complete!

Pros: The woman at the front desk at check-in was the only bright spot!
Cons: Everything.
Location: Good location for dining, beach or relatively close to Mayo Clinic.
This hotel was recently acquired by Red Roof and is undergoing a renovation. DO NOT stay there until all the renovations are complete, as the un-renovated portion is repulsive. Beginning with the nasty carpeting throughout the property, to the sofa in the room that was so dirty I had to request a sheet to cover it. Luckily, we only needed to stay one night for an appointment the next day or I definitely would have gone elsewhere. I immediately canceled a reservation I had for later in the month for a return visit to Neptune Beach. In my opinion, Red Roof is ruining their reputation by trying to keep the place open during renovations.

There wasn't a dehumidifier that worked. Everything thing we had was wet all the time. I will never stay or recommend this facility to anyone.

Close to Mayo Clinic

The hotel on Atlantic Blvd., Neptune Beach looked nothing like the photos on Expedia's website. The room was old. The rooms on our end of the hall were far from the main desk area and felt like an afterthought addition. The room had a dehumidifying working at full speed, yet the room felt damp and moody.

The hotel is very old and outdated but it was clean. The bathrooms need renovation really bad. Our room was on the 1st floor and we couldn't open the door to get fresh air because there was a note on the door asking us not to do it. The pool was very small. The breakfast was very good and there were a lot of choices.

Was not a days Inn when I arrived.

It was a red roof Inn. It needs to be flattened and rebuilt. The pool was green and not clean. The room was the worst I have stayed in.

Dear Guest we had took over the property since June 14th and change flag to Red Roof Plus. We had pool company take care of the pool since it was raining and change of ownership it took them a while to come and do daily cleaning in the pool. Now pool is ready and clean more than before. Thank you for giving us feed back on your recent stay. We well come you in Red Roof hotel in your future visit.

Not so good. Staff was friendly. Dead bugs, I think Palmetto, in the room. The outlets were not operable. Bathroom was fine. Air conditioner could be a little stronger. Continental Breakfast was a little less than average. Must be holding back for the transition to Red Roof Inn.
