No pool towels or free breakfast

Breakfast is complicated. They give you $6 off at Waffle House or McDonald's and $3 off for kids- you pay tax and tip. The McDonald's kids coupon is only good for kids meals which aren't served until 11 am. If you use the kids coupon at Waffle House, the kids meals are all $4.50+, so either way it's a pain in the butt. This is further exasperated by the fact that it is super busy at McDonald's because it's attached to a prime gas station off the highway. The Waffle House is in front of two RV parks. Although food options are weird for breakfast (especially for a Best Western), there is a Denny's inside the hotel and a Wendy's across the street. That pretty much sums up your options unless you want to drive. The pool towels should be available to guests. We were fortunate enough to have our own. I wouldn't stay again only because I like to get up, eat a hot breakfast and leave- not drive across the street to wait in line only to find out my kid can't eat until 11 unless we go somewhere else. Life should be simpler- especially when you are traveling.

Stay experience

Convenient location off the interstate. Plenty of parking for all types of vehicles. dog friendly. Really made me and dogs feel welcome. Clean. Beds a little uncomfortable. Good experience. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Dissatisfied

I got great reviews from this hotel, from friends that stayed in town. Being that my grandmother lives towards Charleston it was the perfect location. The staff was super duper nice and very helpful! No complaints there... the problem was the bed... I got a room with double beds (we were traveling with 2 small children).. 12+ hours I drove from Alabama to get home for Thanksgivings and the sheets were stained with what appeared to be blood... I just didnt have it in me to complain that night, but I took pictures and we all slept in one double bed . I did make the staff aware of the situation at checkout the next day, apparently I was not the only complaint they've had. I was told that I would get my room 1/2 price and would be notified via email of the transaction, but no word just yet...

Stop over during hurricane Mathew.

Pros: Close to exit

Location: The area could use sidewalks to get from here and there.
Very clean and comfortable would recommend the place was completely booked

Best Western in name only.

Pros: Nothing...
Cons: The hotel must be completely refurbished in order to meet the standards of Best Western and guest.
Location: Gas at this location is .30 cents more then down the road on 95 South and North. There is nothing more that a McDonalds, Waffle house and a Denny's.
The hotel was converted from an older Motel. The bathroom walls had paint peels and there was mole around the bathtub (caulking) and toilet. The carpet near a sink had a slight odor of beer. I paid for a queen size bed and got a full size bed. The Bed mattress was old and I felt the springs when I sat down on it. Frankly if I did not need the sleep I would have left not caring that the room was not refundable.

Breakfast vouchers for McDonalds or Waffles when Denny's was located with the hire building. $6 voucher and option for a bag to go. Bag more conducive to lunch. We went to Denny's.

Decent, but not great

The hotel staff were great. Issues I had were with TV not working, not having enough blankets, and coffee pot being unreliable.

I enjoyed my stay

This place was an hour away from the beach , but it was dog friendly and my black lab enjoyed every minute of it. They have indoor pool, dog walking area, Waffle House or macdonalds complimentary breakfast. Located next to civil war site. Rooms are big and clean. I had a hard time finding place what will accept my dogs, and this place was wonderful, cheap and very dog friendly. No negative impressions. I will stay there again.

Nice place close to Parris Island and I-95

Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: Queen size beds in double rooms.
Location: MCRD Parris Island
Clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the double bed rooms are actually full size beds...not queens. A little tight for us hefty folks. Vouchers are provided for breakfast at either McDonald's right across the street or the Waffle House which is right across the parking lot. There is an attached Denny's restaurant if u prefer....but wait can be significant.
