We stayed here for 2 nights. Planning to use the for another stay. We love Hunting Island and the drive is not bad. Loved the breakfast. The only thing that could’ve been a little better was the parking lot. We had to park on the side in the grass even though the lady told us we wouldn’t get towed that was a little worrisome.

The area around and sometimes inside had a smell. There was a roach in the room and they said it had been sprayed. The staff never came and cleaned the room and I was there two nights.

Check in took about 20 minutes with a slow computer and then twice we were given cards for a room with one king bed and we had requested 2 queen beds. In third try, our cars opened into a room with two queen beds. Smoking area right in front t of front entrance. Wind blows smoke into entrance. It would be helpful for smoking areas to be moved away from front entrance.

Do not stay here!!!! I woke up in the middle of night, itching uncontrollably, feeling like something was biting me all over my body. The next day I found that I had bites all over me and found two dead fleas in the bed. I contacted the staff and they said they would look into it. I thought I was getting a great deal with this hotel but now that I am itching all over my body it was not worth the savings. For what it’s worth Tammy was very helpful & nice.

especially when compared to some of the other options, this place is a superstar. The staff are all wonderful and super helpful, the rooms are fresh and clean and well maintained and breakfast is good. The breakfast area is also clean and well maintained. I will certainly be staying there again

Doors dont lock
My son and I checked in at 10:30pm after a long day of driving. Front desk lady was very sweet, but when we got to our room the door wouldnt lock. We didnt even need the key to open it, and when the deadbolt was locked from inside the room, my son was able to open the door from the hallway, disengaging the deadbolt. I am a small woman with a teenage son, and i could hear someone yelling just a few doors down. The hotel is run down and smells, and i didnt feel safe at all. We went back to the front desk and the attendant walked with us back to the room so she could see that the door didnt lock. She gave us another room, even thougj she said they were all booked up. The next room ALSO wouldnt lock! We were exhausted and my son convinced me to just put the chain on the door and we piled chairs behind it. Not a great night's sleep as you can imagine. Both rooms smelled like smoke, stained walls, carpets, lampshades, only 1 outlet available.

The staff was wonderful and the stay was excellent. We went to see our sons Marine graduation. We was looking for a nice place to rest and enjoy the area after all the graduation activities. The staff and hotel management was very accommodating to our needs. Would definitely stay there again.

We had 3 rooms booked, and the staff did a great job of placing us together. 1 one had a extremely foul moldy smell, but the staff quickly switched us to a room that was better.

Well upon checking in the receptionist stated that she was new. The rooms were booked together and I was told that I couldn’t pay for them together! I had to pay for each one separate. My booking receipt said my rooms were $440.40 and the hotel charged me 444.68. Then proceed to tell me after swiping my card 3 times that I didn’t pay for 1 room. Tried to make me pay again. So I had to show them my card transaction and call the bank to verify it. Later on they find out the mistake the receptionist made. The hall ways were extremely hot. The vending machines were down. They didn’t have any complimentary water. The wifi hardly worked so we had to watch regular tv. There was no note to tell us that. Maintenance had to come and put the tv on regular channels. We didn’t get a receipt upon checking in and were advised to wait until check out time.

Some issues, fixed quickly.
Original room had problems with the AC and TV. Was quickly moved to a room across the hall with no problems. Staff was polite and very helpful. Very comfortable beds. Shower was a little weak. Good value for the price.

There is mold all over the room. The moldy stench is overwhelming. The floor wasn’t vacuumed. The bathroom was dirty. There was a maxi pad adhesive stuck to the bathroom door. The grounds are not being taken care of (grass and weeds overgrown). The common bathrooms were so dirty and the common trash containers were overflowing and trash all over the ground. Trash on the floor in the hallways. The stay was very disappointing
