You may have noticed the restoration project that is in progress on our front balcony. While you were here, the carpenter was working on the railing. Some of the spindles have been sent out to a master woodworker to be re-turned so that the new ones will look just like the ones that are centuries old. The project should be finished by next week.

However, we do also have several guest rooms that are decorated in a more modern style while still having the antique moldings and hardware. We have styles to appeal to many different tastes. Thank you for your rating, Dennis. Our historic property gives a feel for the history of the town. Beaufort's entire downtown is listed on the National Historic Register as a National Historic Landmark. There is so much history in our area!

The Cuthbert House is perfectly located to walk to the marina and waterfront park, restaurants, shops and museums, but there a so many other things to see and do only a short drive away! We often send our guests to historic and natural sites in the area as well. In fact, Beaufort, SC is the perfect base for exploring the Lowcountry from Charleston to Savannah!

Our rooms on the garden level all have private entrances that make it easy to take you pet out for a walk. When we bought the inn, we switched from keys to coded locks.
