Canceled Reservation without telling us

I had a reservation for 2 nights. We arrived at 10 at night. The hotel said "sorry, no rooms, we canceled you. Oops we did not tell you? Unfortunate. Good luck. Good bye."

Overall good experience. Front desk was friendly. No major issues with room. A/c was cold but bed was hard. Breakfast was "ok".

It was ok for an overnight stay. Hubby wasn't too pleased with it. Desk guy very cordial.

Dirty room

There was a spill in the drawer of the nightstand and it was covered in roaches and other bugs. Obviously they don't clean very thoroughly.

Good Deal on a Good Room

Pros: Good location, room was very clean, plenty of linens. Staff was attentive and parking was easy.
Cons: Breakfast options and pillows were not all that.
Overall a B+ from my perspective. The quibbles I note below are not significant because my expectations at this price point are reasonable. I brought my own pillow and got my breakfast at a neighborhood donut shop.

Not so great

The room was fine but I had to get a new keycard, twice, in two days and I went to eat breakfast at 7am but the sausage, and gravy were stone cold.

We were there on the cheap and it fit the bill. The room was small, as expected, and everything was clean and in working condition. We would repeat.
