We were given keys to one room number, but the folio room number was different. So upon returning the first night, we found another couple in the room to which we had been given a Key. The staff said "we always call", but no call was received.
Our belonging had been placed in several clean Trash Bags and our suitcases. Our suitcase had out names and phone numbers clearly noted on tags. Our items had been placed in a Yellow Laundry hamper, which we had to bring up to our new room (and the new keys didn't work either, necessitating another trip back to the front desk, nor did the second set of keys work.
We asked to speak to the manger, and was told she wasn't in yet but would call us. No call was received. My wife called that afternoon and we were told she was out obtaining supplies. The next morning we were again reassured she would call. Again no call from her. My wife called later that afternoon and talked to her.
WE explained out inconvenience, etc.
I asked for some compensation for our inconvenience, and was again told the manager would contact us, but had to speak to the owner.
Again the manager did not call us that day. We called and talked to her AFTER we checked out.
We were told she "take care of it" When I asked what she meant, I was told we'd receive a $25.00 Gift certificate. After I emailed the manager and explain I hardly felt this was adequate for their error, I was told my bill would be credited $50.00.
This had been our 4th stay there.
