Worst Hotel Experience Ever, Roaches

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: It should be pulled from Expedia's offerings.
Location: It seemed like a shady part of town.
Let me preface this by saying this is my worst hotel experience in my life. This was on a 6,000 mile U.S. road trip and we stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of states. We arrived in Beaumont as weary travelers on our cross country road trip. We stopped here out of necessity, as it's obviously not much of a destination. 1. Large puddle in front of our room. To get in to our room we had to walk through it and track water in the hotel each time. 2. We were given a non-smoking room. It was obviously smoked in before. We were about to overlook these two things and suffer through. But then #3 happened. 3. In a corner where the carpet and carpet baseboard met, there was a hole in the wall with drywall crumbs falling out. Along with the drywall crumbs on the ground there were 2 dead cockroaches. Being dead, right next to this hole, they likely came through the hole in the wall and more could follow. We immediately went back to the lobby and the lady that checked us in offered another room to us. We declined and asked for a refund. She said that it was no problem and it just had to be done through Expedia as that's who we booked through. We called Expedia the next day and they reached out to the hotel, and the manager was not there. Then they tried again when they said the manager would be there. He was not there again. Later that week I hear that they are unwilling to offer a refund. Expedia offered me a credit that was about half of what we paid for the hotel.

You get what you pay for

Door bolt was broken....slipped a chair underneath as a double security measure. 2. Tub was backed up and foul stench from toilet. 3. TV did not work

We have a satellite service provider and satellite does go out during a bad weather. Our area was the victim of Hurricane Harvey and weather was bad in this area during that time. Linen was a little dingy. Paint peeling in bathroom. Security locks didn't work properly. Staff came out to repair locks.

Unusual Motel 6 has tub, mini-fridge and microwave

Pros: Unusual Motel 6 has tub, mini-fridge and microwave and free wifi!
Cons: Webpage directions are wrong.
Location: Beaumont is a perfect overnight stop between Sam Antonio and New Orleans for older or single drivers.
This Motel 6 has a tub, a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room with FREE wifi and is right on 10 going through Beaumont. Perfect overnight stopping place!

Wait until the repairs are finished

Pros: Staff gave us a phone call to make sure we were still coming for the night.
Cons: Updates past due! Beds had clean sheets and blanket, no comforters. Soap provided missed shampoo and conditioner.
Location: Olive Garden, McDonald's and a Hooters nearby.
This hotel is going through updates, but they should have been done years ago. Missing light bulbs along with light fixtures just not working. Bathtub had been cleaned but the slip resistance bottom was disgusting. We wore flip flops during our showers.

I apologize for your inconvenience. We recently converted from Laquinta to a Motel 6. Its a new Management since its become Motel 6 and we are updating the Motel to a G6 standard. I assure you that you will be please with our rooms once its renovated. Motel 6 requires only soap to be put in the bathrooms and sink area, however we have shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste & brush, shaving kit, and laundry soap available in the vending machine for a guest to purchase at anytime. Ok for one night

Pros: centrally located
Cons: Add blow dryers and shampoo in rooms.
Location: Centrally located
No blow dryer or shampoo. Under renovation. No breakfast, only coffee in the lobby.
