Beautiful hotel straight out of the 1920s
Stunning hotel straight out of the 1920s. Stunningly beautiful and incredible service of all the team. Lovely touches like a glass of champagne on arrival and a quill to fill in your check in forms. Only down side is the room was a little tired, the steam room didn’t work and the shower blocked, meaning the poor night manager had to get the plunger out. Hot water was also consistently cold. I would definatley stay here again, was just unlucky with the bathroom on thai occasion . Location is perfect, in the heart of Monmatre my favourite district t in Paris.

A beautiful hotel hidden away in Montmartre.
We absolutely adored staying at this hotel. So much charm and beautiful. We sat outside on the patio drinking aperol spritzers and played cards. It was so quiet and hidden away from the outside world. We had breakfast in their dining room which is lavished in millennium pink velvet. At night we drank in their speak easy type bar downstairs. This hotel is located right by Picasso’s home and the Montmartre museum. The neighborhood itself is worth the stay. Def stay here again.

Authentic and off the beaten track
This was such a hidden gem! Loved the location and the off the beaten track feel. Only downside was that our Air Conditioning was broken during a very hot day on Paris. However, the hotel staff was accommodating and brought a fan and comped water bottles. By the evening the city was cool enough for the room to be comfortable with the windows open and th AC was fixed the next day. A little worn around the edges, but worth it if you’re looking for something different.

My husband and I stayed here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. It’s obviously charming and quaint. However, as far as being a hotel goes the level of service has declined significantly since then. It feels like their focus is really just on being a hip spot to eat and drink and the rooms are an afterthought. There is no proper check in to speak of, the room was not ready when I arrived at 3:30 and wasn’t ready until around 5PM. I had to ask for my bags three times. There were no fresh towels larger than a large hand towel (and if that their was only one). The room overlooked the restaurant and garden and the bathroom has very little on the windows for privacy, I literally had to hang a bathrobe over the window to change and shower without twenty people watching. The service in the restaurant was also terrible. My friend ordered a drink four separate times before he finally received it almost an hour later. Everyone working there, with the exception of one manager was rude, and nothing on the menu was actually available except for three standard cocktails and one or two food items. Lastly, I had to check out extremely early to catch a flight. As a female traveling alone, I would expect a certain level of security while staying in a hotel. But as there is no check in or concierge I literally had to leave my key with a janitor who seemed to be the only person on site when I was leaving. Just have a drink in the garden, not worth staying or dining here.

Quirky but fun B&B style hotel
If you are into unique, interesting, quirky places, you will LOVE it here! The hotel is anything but cookie cutter and has a wonderful Bohemian vibe reminiscent of a more retro glamorous era. If you are someone to whom service is important, this might not be your cup of tea as it is run more like a bed and breakfast with no real check-in desk. The staff here is very friendly, young and helpful. However, the waiters and bartenders are the ones who will check you in/out. Often, they are very busy and things can get hectic. You will need to leave your key each time you leave the hotel but someone is on staff through the night. Common areas are shared with diners and the restaurant/bar is very busy. However, the rooms are clean and comfortable and have a nice, funky vibe. (Jimmi Hendrix would have been right at home in our room.) The windows of many rooms overlook the courtyard restaurant. We enjoyed the crowd but if you are looking for quiet, take this into consideration. The hotel is tucked away in a residential neighborhood which all of the village's sites/restaurants are walkable from. Metro Paris is a 2-3 mile cab ride, as is Champs de Elyse, etc. We are glad we stayed here vs. metro Paris as the village is more charming for adults. (Most restaurants close by 9 or 10 p.m. at the latest.) Overall, if you want a unique Bohemian experience close to but outside of Paris, this is a great place if you appreciate a retro vibe.

Great potential but fell short of standard
The air conditioning wasn't switched on. Many power points were not functional. The safe did not work. The shower door was coming off. The garden was being torn up and renovations were going on so the main entrance could not be used and luggage had to be carted up and down stairs. The workers were drilling walls in the morning.

Magic in the air
The hotel specializes in quirky charm and we were charmed to our core. Staff also was responsive, helpful and delightful. Only thing I'd suggest is a little more attention to detail on hardware (knobs, toilet paper holder falling off, bath jets not working properly). But all in all, this secluded house in the middle of vibrant Montmartre has a magical air.
