The closest place to Ellwood

Posted Aug 12, 2015
I thought from the picture that the hotel was newer then it was. The staff was not dressed professional and did not act professionally. The room showed a lot of wear and tear. Items repaired were not done to match the room. The camode was installed crooked and the tile baseboard was repaired with a piece of wood. The bathroom was not clean. The furniture and the baseboard was banged up. The room was adequate to sleep in but was not a good overall experience.

Near Pitt Race track

The facility needs some TLC! Floors and carpets are stained and spotted through out place, as well as cloth chair and foot stool in room! Breakfast was pretty sparse. For price it was okay, but don't plan on staying there again.

Clean room

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Room was clean and the staff was pleasant. It wasn't anything extra special or fancy but it was clean. Continental Breakfast was a bit lacking, maybe some fruit would have been nice.

Visitor Beware

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Not much. Was convenient on way to another stay. Easy on-off highway 79
Cons: Super 8 needs to really look at quality (or lack thereof) at this hotel.
Location: Go to dinner at Sal's Ristorante in town about 7 miles away. Great Italian food and warm friendly service
Right on busy road with no barriers. Rooms very small, cramped. No microwave, No refrigerator, minimal TV channels. .And all this for $100/night! Rooms right on parking lot. Desk staff was friendly as a snake. Move on down the road unless you really need to stay here. Room smelled of cigarette smoke despite No Smoking regulation.

Decent Hotel, Not the Best Location

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Clean, convenient to the turnpike.
Location: There is nothing to do here. Beaver Falls is part of the "rust belt" - an economically depressed area that used to be a thriving steel making town.
I stayed here for a week on a business trip to Beaver Falls. The staff was friendly, the room clean and overall I had a good stay. However, although it is close to the turnpike, there isn't that much in the immediate area as far as good restaurants or things to do. I tried the Irish Pub which is within a very short walking distance and the food was OK but the place is a bit of a local dive. There is an Italian restaurant a mile or two down the road which again was only OK, nothing great. Beaver Falls is basically a rather economically depressed area and certainly not somewhere I'd normally visit. Early in the week there were only three cars in the parking lot, I literally had the whole hotel to myself. This is not the hotel's fault, I just can't imagine it gets much business as I don't know what would bring people to come to Beaver Falls. The population of the town has fallen about fifty percent since the 1940s.
