Our front check in was great. Location is very easy from the highway...enjoyed Pasquale Italian restaurant just a small walk away. It's a bit dated, but for a one night stop very adequate. Breakfast room was clean and well stocked for a simple breakfast.

Checkin was slow. Room had a smell no outside ventilation wall light was hanging by the wire and light and plug was disconnected. Breakfast was not up to usual standards. We have stayed there in the past but will look elsewhere next time. Seems to have been let go.

The rooms were clean. The hallway carpets and exits going outside were not in very good shape. Could use a good cleaning

Old and dirty
Clarion hasn't owned this building that long, but never did any updates. It was dirty and old, the blackout curtains had holes in them. The bed was comfy

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. While right off the highway,even though our room faced it, we did not hear it at all. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. The breakfast bar was very well organized, with everything individually packaged (bagels, muffins, apples, etc). We would definitely stay here again.

The location was convenient and easy to find. Driveway access coming out of parking lot is dangerous. Breakfast was normal continental style with waffle maker the highlight. Coffee was good. Room smelt of cigar/pipe smoke which is strange in a non-smoking establishment. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Would not likely stay again. Was ok for a stopover after long drive.

This hotel is in need of a refresh. The king bed was two double mattresses pushed together with sagging on one half of the mattress. The shower was small and in rough shape.

Trip to New River Gorge National Park
Came in for a weekend stay while visiting New River Gorge National Park. Nice clean updated rooms, loved the murals of the park throughout the hotel. Comfortable beds, clean, quiet, felt safe. Good location close to restaurants, gasoline, etc. Good breakfast, friendly staff.. shout out to Micheal & Michelle, very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

The handicap room we requested had problems with the lock going in and when we turn the heater on the alarm went off so we were moved to a non-handicap room, which was a little better but not terribly clean

Some security issues
It was a bit grungy, not unsanitary, but the bathroom floor was not so great. My main complaint was security. The locks on the doors leading to the parking lot were left unlocked, despite the fact there was a sign on each one that it was to be locked 24/7. The breakfast bar was fine and the beds were clean, so we managed.
