Good Location to Major Sites

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: Great central location to Boston and Salem.
Cons: The continental breakfast could use some spicing up.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for two nights and enjoyed the stay. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, the pool was not open so I couldn't use it. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. The hotel did offer a great central location to the two big sites we came to see Boston and Salem. It was a quick 30 minute drive to Salem and 30 minutes to Boston. Overall, I would recommend.

Ideal for me

Posted Jul 29, 2017
I had originally booked this hotel as it was within equi-distance of a aray of things I intended to do whilst visiting Boston. Just a 30 minute bus ride from Alewife station at the end of the Red T line is this quaint but quiet village of Bedford with everything you need close by. The hotel may be a little dated but it has that no frills charm about it - I spent each day exploring different parts of the city then retreated back there just to sleep, shower and have breakfast ready for another day. Plenty of eateries within a 2 minute walk to chose if you fancy eating later on. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Nice affordable hotel near Cambridge

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Very convenient location, affordable price, skylights over breakfast area. Nice TV, usable as second monitor to a laptop (bring your own HDMI cable).
Cons: Not easily accessible outlet near the table in the room. A little hard to find the entrance to the underground parking at night.
Location: Easy access to Cambridge. Mall nearby with Chipotle and a couple of other nice restaurants, supermarket (Stop & Shop).
Nice, comfortable and affordable hotel close to Cambridge and Interstate highway 95. Great mall a short walk away, gas station across the street. Short drive to Porter and Harvard Square. Easy access to I-95 and the wider Boston area. Swimming pool and great breakfast area near the pool under skylights. Friendly staff. Easy to find.

Noisy due to the intense traffic outside. I had to switch rooms due to bad smell and noise. Breakfast toaster didn't eject the bread sometimes.

Ceiling fell in

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Worse hotel ever. My husband was taking a shower and the ceiling fell in the tub. My youngest daughter got sick and all of us was itching. The best part of the stay is when we checked out early and got a refund

Thank you for your honest comments. This doesn't happen all the time, as someone above your room was filling up the tub with shower curtain outside caused the leak. We have addressed this issue. Thank you again for letting us know right away so we were able to fix it quick.

Old hotel .not bad

Posted Jun 28, 2017
Pros: heated pool, comfy beds
Cons: breakfast buffet needs work
Location: as long as you have Google maps or some other gps assistance, you should be able to navigate the area
We booked through Expedia. When we realized about an hour or so later we had booked the wrong day and tried to change it, we were charged $75. I almost always choose a hotel that offers the option to make changes to your reservation, but in this case, I got distracted and didn't realize this one was a non-refundable one. Still, it seems excessive to charge that much when the reservation was only an hour or so old. The hotel itself, though old, offers comfy beds and a nice place to spend a night or two. The breakfast buffet leaves something to be desired. The only hot option is little mini waffles which take forever to cook, thereby creating a line. There are few gluten free options and the only eggs are hard boiled. The main highlight of this hotel is the heated indoor pool. We had it to ourselves the second night and it was delightful. Situated between two busy streets, it can be noisy if the a/c isn't running buy all in all, I would stay there again, despite the exorbitant reservation change charge.

Bedford Plaza Hotel, Clean but a little tired.

Posted Jun 22, 2017
Pros: Cleanliness ,underground car park. Easy access to interstate highway. Breakfast.
Cons: Could do with some updating
Location: Some local shopping , good Indian restaurant across the road. Easy access to interstate
We stayed in this hotel for nine nights and found the staff to be helpful and the amenities good. If you want there is a pool indoors which we did not use but was maintained well . The self service breakfast had good choices and plenty of food. (coffee could be better). Secure underground parking was a bonus. The hotel could do with some updating but the cleanliness was good. Fresh towels everday. Some local shopping and an excellent Indian restaurant just across the road is definitely worth visiting !

Recommended but ugly

Posted May 30, 2017
The exterior is miserably ugly and the entrances are nearly invisible and confusing, but the rooms are more than adesuate; the management is efficient, friendly, and helpful; the rooms and public spaces are enviably clean and well maintained; the location is reasonably convenient; and the beds and pillows are wonderfully comfortable. And the price is extremely reasonable for Boston.
