A Satisfactory Hotel but a Couple of GlitchesPosted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: The friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Possibly an upgrade in the breakfast offerings. The French toast fingers offered the day I was there were really pretty bad but all else was OK
Location: see my review
The hotel is an easy find right off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and close to commercial strip food and gas. We didn't explore historic Bedford because this was just a reasonable place to break the drive between Philadelphia and Indianapolis and not a destination stop. The hotel was a typical Hampton Inn in appearance, accommodations, and quality. The desk clerk when we checked in, Carl, was very friendly and informative providing a list of nearby food options. My partner does not like rooms with adjoining doors so asked at check-in to make sure our room did not have that. After we got our luggage in, I noticed the remote for the TV was not functioning and called to report it. Carl arrived quickly with a separate remote and also couldn't get his to function so something was definitely up with the TV. That, combined with the adjoining door, prompted my partner to ask for another room and we were moved quickly and without hassle. Our new room was what we've come to expect from Hampton Inn - clean, quiet, comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was slightly below what we've encountered at other Hamptons but perfectly adequate. Overall, I can recommend this hotel to anyone used to Hampton Inn level of accommodation. The staff were friendly and professional and, were it not for the minor issues I mentioned, would give it an overall outstanding rating.

We stayed here 1 night while passing through Bedford. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly. Hot breakfast was included...it was ok....nothing special. The only problems we had were that the beds were not very comfortable and the toilet handle needed some jiggling to get it to work. I didn't request for it to be fixed because I wanted to sleep instead. I would recommend it to others.

Was on my way back to the Midwest. Before taking the trip, I was paranoid that the stuff in my car would get stolen. When I stopped here, I felt pretty safe. It's nicely tucked away on a hillside.

Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Kept running out of towels in the pool area. It seemed the front desk clerk did everything, but was very friendly and professional. Will stay again.

We had a nice stay. We only spent one night but used the pool and the jacuzzi. The room was comfortable.
