good location hotel

Posted Mar 9, 2013 on Hotels
location of hotel is great, close to subway, very easy to find, room is clean, staff service not bad, but need to wait for hot water ready after back to hotel as least an hour, abit hard to stay during winter season.

Not awful, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: The neighborhood with it's small shops was interesting. It's really not one of the tourist areas of Beijing.
Cons: Having to fight to not be put in a windowless room, right after arriving on a long flight was irritating.
Location: This hotel is not particularly close to anything except small shops.
This hotel would be easy to walk past without noticing. It is in a commercial area with busy, poorly maintained, crowded sidewalks. It is located about half way between 2 subway stops making somewhat inconvenient to either if you have bags. Less than five minutes after I got to my room I received a phone call from the front desk saying they had put me in the wrong room and that I had to move to a room without a window. When booking my reservation I had noticed that Economy rooms had no windows, but from all indications Superior rooms did. I showed them my confirmation, but they still insisted I had only paid for the very small windowless room. Arguing the point was difficult since there was only one staff person who (barely) spoke any English and I do not speak Chinese. After taking a look at the musty smelling, windowless room, I decided to insist on staying in the room I had first been assigned. Eventually, they relented. There was nothing superior about the "Superior room" other than it had a window. The floors and walls were old, but at the price I was paying, I wasn't really expecting much. The air-conditioner worked (once I figured out the remote control for it). The bathroom was reasonably clean and I saw no sign of bugs. My room was fairly quiet. Having now stayed in 5 fairly inexpensive Bejing area hotels, this was my least favorite.

Thin Walls.

You get what you paid for with this place. The price is cheap for Beijing, especially if you are on the run most of the day. However there is no staff that speak English and the walls are super thin. You can hear people talk and even you can hear people having doing "other things". If you are desperate stay here, but try and find something better.

Hintaansa nähden oikein hyvä valinta. Hyvät yhteydet, siisti huone joka siivottiin päivittäin. Ei valittamista.

Pros: zentrale Lage
Sauberkeit war i.O. jedoch sehr alte Handtücher. Im Ganzen ist es für eine oder zwei Nächte als Alleinreisender auszuhalten.

Good value and location in Beijing

About midway between two metro stops - 5 minutes walk either way, also on a bus route to/from the high speed railway station to Shanghai / Nanjing etc. Comfortable enough, though not all rooms have an external window. BYO toilet paper - the provided rolls are very small. Good value.

Very basic, but not too bad

Hotel is conveniently located across the road from Zhangzizhonglu station, about a 81RMB cab ride from the airport. Staff have limited English, but still easy to understand. Not a bad option for a budget stay.

Lähellä metroasemaa

Posted May 8, 2012 on Hotels
Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla lähellä metoasemaa. Myös hyvän kävelymatkan päässä nähtävyyksistä, esimerkiksi Laman temppeliä. Huoneet olivat siistit ja "siivottiin" päivittäin, roskat ja ölakanatkin kerran viikon aikana vaihdettiin. Hotellin henkilökunta puhui hiukan englantia ja he auttoivat meitä parhaansa mukaan. Ainut miinus jonka annan, on vessan koko, äärettömän pieni halvimmassa huoneessa ja siellä haisee viemäri. Muuten olen erittäin tyytyväinen hotelli valintaani.
