Classy and Elegent in an Amazing Location

Posted Apr 17, 2017
This hotel is over 100 years old and boasts amazing history. It's located walking distance from Wangfujing Street and Tian'anmen Square. The hotel staff is all very kind and helpful. They have an amazing breakfast and will accommodate a vegan diet at any restaurant on the premises. It's connected to the hotel next door on the 2nd floor and it's like walk through a museum to get to the next door lobby. Truly a delightful stay with nice in room touches.

Good location

Posted Apr 17, 2017
The hotel is strategically located close to the Tienamen square, Wangfujing market, and the metro. Staff are very friendly, we got upgraded to a room suite which was really a big plus.

A grand hotel, with huge, comfortable rooms.

Posted Mar 22, 2017
Pros: Spacious, comfortable room. Staff comes to solve problems.
Cons: Maybe another chair in the room could help. Also, one needs a course in how to use the heating and the lights.
Location: The hotel is just off Wangfujing Street, which has lots of shops and malls. It is close to the main tourist attractions of Beijing, and the metro.
This is a grand elegant hotel, very comfortable, with a staff that is eager to help. The only puzzle was a rather complicated way to manage the lights and temperature in the room. The location is extraordinarily convenient to most Beijing sights. We got a room for a good price----but I was not tempted to spend the extra money for the restaurant. There are many other restaurants nearby, especially in the nearby malls.

This hotel just next to the Tiananmen Square, so it is a good choice for people first time visiting Beijing also you can see the changanjie from the rooms.

Grand Old Hotel Updated

Posted Dec 20, 2016
Pros: Convenience, ambiance, staff, room. What's not to like.
Cons: Restaurant lacked the same ambiance as the hotel.
Location: Near everything. Walk to meals and shopping.
A visit to Raffles, now inexplicably called Nuo, which is the same name as another hotel, will place you back in the 1920's or 30's. Such elegance, such service. Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay. No complaints. Two room suites for under $120 per night. It is convenient to shopping and eating. Walk to everything or take a cab. The staff handles English very well. Loved Writer's bar, restaurant OK. Will be back.

Great location, a bit old

Posted Dec 13, 2016
The hotel is very conveniently located. The hotel itself is quite old, it does seem a bit classic but if the amenities can be freshened up a bit it would be a lot nicer. Hotel staff is great, they give an effort to make your stay a pleasurable one.

This is not a 5 stars hotel.

Posted Dec 9, 2016
Cons: it is too old. change the wood floor and the decoration in the bath room. plz
I book this hotel because it is under controlled by NUO company. It is totally different compared to NUO hotel at Sanyuanqiao. Do not book this hotel unless you have a lot of money to waste.
