What we expected for the price

The breakfast buffet is suited to Eastern tastes and does not have the variety that a Westerner would expect. Our selection was narrowed down to toast and plain bread which is what we had for breakfast. We could not eat at the hotel restaurant at dinner time for the same reason and looked elsewhere for our food requirements. Location is great and the hotel was comfortable and quiet. There is no English spoken anywhere in the hotel and we struggled to communicate when there was a discrepancy with our booking.

Very Satisfactory

The staff was very helpful, despite the language barrier. There was internet in the room as promised and the connection was reliable. Some great restaurants in the area, Temple of Heaven and 10 min walk to the subway.

Cheap & Cheerful

Hotel was basic but clean an comfortable. Staff speak English even though I seemed to be the only non-Chinese guest. Soundproofing was poor - with noisy Chinese tour groups making a loud noise in corridor at all times.

Could do better

This hotel looks OK, quite modern decor etc. but the AC units outside the windows were really noisy and the walls paper thin! I was woken up by one neighbours alarm at 5:30, the next at 6 and then by an (unasked for) wakeup call at 7. Not the easiest of Sunday mornings! Some of the staff speak reasonable English, but most didn't. This made negotiating using the PC in the room very difficult. It was on my last day in China and I wanted to check in for my flight online, but didn't have any spare cash and the bank was shut. For some reason I couldn't use my creditcard or the deposit I'd paid on the room to secure use of the PC as I was on the 2nd floor (?). Apparently if I'd been on the 3rd it would have been ok. none of this made any sense to me and it was basically and bad unflexible service - you can do a lot better in Beijing for the same money. By the by it's called the 'Wanch Inn' and it's on Taintan Lu road, the name listed here makes it very difficult to explain to the taxi driver!

The worse day in my life

Pleae, choose every thing except this hotel, they speak only chinese, the manageur is horrible. I don't have words to explain what I feel. Its was the worse time in all my life
