Was in a suite that included use of the lounge, which pretty much took care of any worries about finding dinner in the area. Breakfast was well presented with a great selection of typical Beijing-style breakfast, Chinese food in general and some western-style offerings like baked goods, eggs and bacon, sausage etc. my favourite was the congee, pickles and Chinese Doughnuts (yutiao). Staff were always receptive and polite and tried to speak English when possible. The hotel is a little dated, and even in my suite some of the electrical outlets seemed a little ‘dicey’. Also, there was a distinct sewer smell from a the bathroom in the morning. Apart from that, it was a very good stay, made even better by the front desk manger (Connie?). The location is good as it’s a block away from a metro station (Haidian Huangzhuang), connecting to lines 4 and 10. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 12 nights. This place was clean, quiet and safe. All the staffs we met were very nice. It's walking distance to several nice local restaurants. A 15 minute walk to subway station that could take you anywhere in Beijing.

For the past dozen years, whenever I go to Beijing, I stay at this hotel. Over the years, I have watched it evolve into a very good hotel. However, it is still not perfect. For example, in the winters, the rooms are so hot, even with the windows open and the AC turned off. This is not just a one time thing. It has almost always been this way. On my most recent stay, while I was in the room, someone tried to enter. I opened the door and he looked like a maintenance man. I asked him what he wanted and he said sorry and walked away. So, that was odd. As for the breakfasts, the offerings are much more modest than what they used to be, but it is still good. Checkout is way faster now. There was no room service menu in the room, and so I am wondering if that is no longer available. The gym is way better than before. For restaurants, you half to walk about one kilometer to the west and cross Zhongguancun Dajie to hit upon some choices, but in this particular area of Haidian, this hotel is the most convenient.

Reasonably positive stay
The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They upgraded my room and provided a welcome drink without my even asking. The room was clean and quiet. My only negative was that the breakfast items weren’t kept hot consistently - tasted good otherwise.

A very decent hotel
The location is great for someone who likes to visit Zhongguancun area. It is very close to subway stations. The hotel is a decent one in terms of services and amenities.

One of the better choices in this neighborhood
Our bathroom was not draining correctly and the manager was responsive and moved us to another rooom quickly. Breakfast is good and club lounge is great if you stay in a club level room.

Breakfast is good, but the room condition need to be updated. Horrible smoking smell is really need to be improved. Also the water condition is not good. Specially the water in shower room, too hot and cold is not enough.

Nice hotel - close to subway station (5 min walk), shower facilities available if you check in early and your room isn't ready, large spacious rooms and excellent choice for breakfast. Highly recommended and will stay here again for business.

The hotel is very nice and all facilities are nice and comfortable. However, I have a bra stolen (or taken) from the room which is both weird and creepy. I reported this to staff and to the manager but they couldn't figure out what happened. I check the room and my luggage multiple time and also check everything again once I arrive at home, the bra is till missing. Don't know what to think.

A Horrible expriences at Beijing Crown Plaza Hotel
It was an horrible experience. we arrived on Sunday afternoon and was told the room was still not available. We asked for two bed and the lady at the check agreed to check with her management. Then the horrible experience started. The manager came and was really rude to me and my wife. He started to talk to guest behind us and told us that he is busy. We waited 15 mins to talk to him. We were told that he was the only manager because it was Sunday. We stayed at Crown Plaza many times and this was really a bad experiences after all. The manager even warned us that he is the only manager and we have no one else to complain. We can't believe this happened at this hotel. The manger took out his name badge so we can't get his name and he told other employee not to give us his name. We will certainly take this to Crown Plaza and hopefully this review help other guests. I won't stay at this hotel again with such manager working there.
