Nice hotel. Great in an odd location.

Pros: Room designs for the larger suites were nice.
Cons: Better English, Lobby light on, Clean up outside. We walking past dog mess and unkept flowers and grass. New house slippers not just washed old ones.
Location: Near Sunlitur, Modern shops, movies and restaurants. Subwayline was a 18 min walk away. There was bargin shopping also nearby.
Hotel and the photos they have on the site looked great. The rooms are well styled. We had a suite which was very large with two flat screen TVs and a hot tub next to the bed. Unfortunately staff hardly spoke english which other 5 star hotels I stayed in the area were perfect english. The hotel rarely had the heat on in the lobby so breakfast was chilly, though tasted good. They also for some reason had the lights off in the lobby most times so it felt kind of strange and dark. The odd part was the hotel is located inside the grounds of a football stadium. Right inside the back parking lot. There was a game while we stayed there and it was hard to get through the gates to return to our room because of ticket lines for the game haha. The other interesting part was there were several of Beijing's hot night clubs directly next door. If your into clubbing than great! The restaurant next door had really nice food and the service was excellent. A 10 min walk down the block took your to a cool shopping area locals Called Sunli-tur village. Great mix of modern restaurants, shops and movies. Overall the hotel grounds outside were a bit dirty but inside the hotel its very nice. I would give it a solid 4 stars if it were more clean on the grounds outside and the staff were a bit more welcoming. The room designs were a knock out.

Fantastic rooms close to food, fun and shopping!

The Gallery Hotel was perfectly located a short walk from the Yashow Market and even closer to several bars/night clubs and a fantastic gourmet restaurant to get Peking duck, called DaDong. The rooms were truly amazing! Large and clean with comfortable bedding, a large couch, and 2 gigantic flat screens. The breakfast that was included was delish. Lots of menu choices and omelets to order. The hotel staff was helpful, but many did not speak good English...than again my Mandarin is pretty terrible, but don't expect too much communication outside of the basics if you don't speak their language. Also, for a 4 star hotel, I would expect to see a doorman or someone to help with luggage, but there was none. Overall, a very nice hotel and I would stay their again.

Awesome hotel

The rooms in this hotel are a contemporary update of James Colburn's ultimate bachelor pad in the "Our Man Flint" movie in the 1960s. Very, very cool. One location note, this hotel is literally next door to the Worker's Stadium, so if there is a soccer match, taxis cannot drive to the hotel main entrance during the game. In this case, get off at the coffee & waffle cafe to the right of the stadium main entrance and walk up the back street to the rear entrance for the hotel.
