Good priced hotel near the train station.

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Good priced hotel near the train station. If you arriving by train from Shanghai to Beijing, this is a hotel within about 5 to 10 minutes taxi ride. Cheap. Decent. Nothing wrong. Except there's nothing much in the area. But just for a nights sleep this will do. Breakfast is also not bad.

Pros: The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. The location is also very good and within easy walking distance of the Temple of Heaven and Tianamen Square.
Cons: The buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner has very limited selection. The room we stayed in had a frosted glass wall for the bathroom, that separated the bedroom from the shower. Probably great for a honeymoon, not so much if travelling with friends/family/business.
Location: Easy walking distance of the Temple of Heaven and Tianamen Square.

Ok for an overnite

Not up to holiday inn standards - carpet dirty , decor old and worn, poor quality breakfast , not much food choice desirable by westerners. No western food nearby and not close to the metro trains. Best to stay some where else

Clean and hard to find, location wise.

It was another hard to find typical Beijing hotel but it was up to the Western standard with very clean rooms and good breakfast. Staff had a hard time communicating fluently which tends to be a common pattern in China anyway.

Near to South Railway Station

Posted Sep 17, 2016
Pros: The price. Close to South Railway Station. And hotel contained washers and dryers.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: There's some stores in the neighborhood. Didn't see any interesting restaurants nearby.
I was happy with my stay. The hotel contained washers and dryers, where I did my laundry for RMB30 (US$1 = RMB6.7). Surprisingly, the dinner buffet of Chinese food was somewhat tasty. It cost RMB58. Staff was friendly and efficient. Beijing's South Railway Station, offering high speed rail service to Tianjin and Shanghai, was close by. The taxi fare to the station was about RMB17. The complimentary breakfast buffet was ok.
