An impressive hotel with professional staff and good beautiful facilities. It located close to the Raffles City Mall and other amenities. It is walking distance from the hotel to Donghzhiemen metro station, which is very convenient.

Spacious and spotless
A delightful surprise! Room was spotless and maids came twice a day! Bathrooms were huge and provided lots of free extras, and the refrigerator was well stocked. We were also given robes and slippers and a bottle of wine. Comfortable bed and a spacious room. Breakfast was fantastic!

We really like the hotel and the room.
The hotel looks bright, model, and clean. It was conveniently located with only a short walk to Dongzhimen subway station and nearby shopping. The room is nicely decorated with good amenities. The bed and bedding are comfortable; so is the airconditioning. The room was quiet. The staff was helpful and able to accommodate us for a later checkout. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again if we return to Beijing in the future. We didn't try the hotel buffet breakfast as it's kind of expensive. However, it's not hard to find food nearby.

Good for all type of trip!
The room setup, condition (inclusive of cleanliness, air-condition, lighting, shower, etc.), TV programmes as well as access of WiFi are very good. Easy to access Beijing subways especially its the direct station (Dongzhimen) to Beijing Capital Airport terminals.

Old and smelly
The reception is very poor and slow. I was given a room that is so smelly and they told me that they are doing an experiment. After two nights i complaint to the manager and was then changed to another room. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Many great restaurant nearby, Express train to the airport and subway nearby.

Convenient and comfortable
The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Dongzhimen station, the downtown terminal of the train from the Capital Airport and connected to the metro network of the city. Bus stops to other parts of the city are also nearby. There are two modern malls nearby with shops and restaurants. The room is comfortable and well provided, but the fittings and furniture are beginning to show signs of aging. The room humidifier is particularly appreciated.

Great hotel and great location!
I loved this hotel! It is right off of the Airport Express line. There's a 7/11 nearby, not too far from the main areas, and a tiny bar called Legend is nearby (seriously, it seats 7, but fits 6). The hotel is nice as are the rooms. They provide an air cleaner in the room. One complaint was that the heat was way too hot. Even turning it off, I was still roasting. The staff is kind and tries to communicate in English as much as possible. Breakfast is 85 rmb and a big buffet. It's totally worth it.

The executive king bed room is beyond my expectation. It's spacious and comfortable. The interior decoration is beautiful (contemporary Chinese style). Overall, it's very clean, except the marble floor of the shower room with yellow rusty stain due to the long term use. The breakfast buffet costs approximately $10 and has a wide variety of choices. The location is great, very close to airport express train, line 2 subway and a shopping center.

The locations is excellent, very slide to the metro station directly to the capital airport. The room was spacious, but they should clean the bathroom thoroughly. I saw many block spots in the gaps between the tiles on the walls.

Good location, 5-min walk to subway station. my room is so-so, but generally acceptable. Shower head is a temporary one, fixed on the wall and cannot be adjusted. It is way too low for anyone taller than 5'5".

Hotel was ok - a bit dated and reeked of cigarette smoke in the hallways. Thank goodness the room was spared from the stench. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Decent location within walking distance to subway stations. Major complaint was the mattress - it was like sleeping on the floor... seriously! Would not recommend this hotel on that fact alone which is a shame.

They say on the website there is an airport shuttle service. They do not. I asked a front person for a taxi the night before checking out. She said no problem. Next morning at 5:45, the requested time, no taxi. Consierge guy was sleeping on a chair. We had wake him up and had him get us taxi from the street. My children and I had to be on two different taxi because of "too much luggage". Can you imagine how terrible I felt being separated from each other even though they are high schoolers? I sent three messages through Expedia asking the transportation from the airport. They never responded. When we checked in, wifi that they advertise "free high speed internet" was not there. They had to take our passport and register the numbers that took whole evening. Room was comfortable, but that is all I can say good thing about this place.

Nice hotel, continent location
Stayed four nights, upgraded to suite. Nice. Spacious and clean. Continent location, close to subway and shopping mall. Definitely will Come back. The only down side is that the food at in hotel restaurant are not good. recommend stay at this hotel but don’t eat at the restaurant except for breakfast.

Very Good Stay
Really enjoyed the hotel. The bed could have been softer and the staff weren't completely fluent in English but the place was great, very good price, and the location was EXCELLENT. Definitely would recommend the stay here and maybe it's not quite the Hilton but we had everything we needed and the location is better I think than those other western based hotels. Definitely would recommend.

Nice hotel with helpful staff and good locations
Very good location, one subway line direct to airport with 30 mins. Close to GUI Jie which is famous by local food, especially Sichuan spicy small lobster and other tasty food. 2 shopping mall nearby. Room not big but enough for 2 adults and 1 child. Clean and comfortable. I will definitely recommend to fridend.

Never book this hotel again
There was a very disgusting smell from bathroom that I could smell it at bedroom. I felt dizzy every morning, I'm afraid it was caused by inhaling the unhealthy odor overnight. We complained this to the hotel. They said the odor was from sewer. I couldn't understand why they didn't fix it since they knew the problem was from sewer. They just said sorry and handed us a odor spray. Will never stay at this hotel again. Concierge personnel was nice and friendly. Sheets, towels are dry and clean. Wifi was very slow.

Oriental garden is brilliantly located close the famous restaurant strip and walking distance to the bar district. Close to Domgzhimen metro which is on the airport line and gets you to most tourist sights. The service from the hotel staff was beyond what was expected. Overall the food was also well done. We would stay here again next time in Beijing.

Pleasing hotel
We just needed a hotel for 1 night prior to our flight out of Beijing. The Garden Oriental was good value for what we required . Not as central as other hotels, but quite close to the subway , which is so easy to use and only a few stops from the main areas. Grace , one of the managers was extremely helpful and possessed excellent English and was very personable. We thank her immensely for all her assistance.

better than I expected
The rooms facing west don't smell that bad. At first I got one room facing east which smells humid and mouldy. The good thing is they switched the room to one of the west ones for me after I complained about the smell. Good staff, good location, close to subway station, airport express and easy to get taxi. A lot of restaurants and two malls nearby. But no escalator going down in that subway station which is also the terminal of the airport express, so it's not easy for whom has several heavy luggages.

Wifi service did not have good connection and I used my own network instead. Room was ok, sufficient space and firm bed. The shower outlet was very small and did not have a good shower effect. Hair dryer in room did not work and I had to ask housekeeping for one. It was sufficienty clean. Gym did not have someone to man and you have to call housekeeping if you want to use it. Breakfast was only very local standard. Don't expect much, especially their English tea making abilibty. However, it is appreciated that they do try to give you a variety and do try to change in the 2 days I stayed. Plenty of bottled water supply. Staff was very helpful and courteous.
