Hotel close to subway & eateries

Posted Apr 28, 2017
This is an average hotel for Beijing but it is walking distance to Chongwenmen Subway station which can take you to and from the airport, Forbidden City, Lama Temple, & other attractions. The local eateries nearby are authentic & quite affordable. Of course there are also high end department stores nearby & an underground supermarket.

Reasonable hotel in Beijing

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Good location, close to subway. The king size bed is about a foot smaller in width than standard USA king size beds. Breakfast buffet does not have much Chinese food and no vegetarian Chinese dishes. Other hotels offer much more variety of Chinese food.

Close to Forbidden City

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Short ride to Forbidden City and numerous eating options within walking distance. Room temps were rather warm and lobby had a funky smell. Still, price was right and staff helpful.

Good hotel in the middle of Beijing

Posted Apr 2, 2017
Great place to stay and I would stay here again! The room was very clean and comfortable; great bed, pillows, seating and view. In-room coffee maker was great. A couple of complimentary bottles of water left in the room each day. The subway station was only a block away making it easy to get around the city. Shopping mall is in the same building and there are restaurants right next door.

Convenient location for English Speaking Guest

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: Clean facilities and supportive staff. Comfortable hotel rooms, with plenty of charging ports.
Cons: well, maybe provide guest with the estimated cost of taxi fare from the airport to prevent potential hotel guest being ripped off by "black taxi"
Location: Shopping centre nearby carrying international brands, pretty good food just a short 2 mins walk out from the hotel lobby. Huge supermarket to stockup.
Arrived in the wee hours of the night, but the counter receptionist provided fast check-in for us without any delays. The hotel is located next door to a shopping centre (similar to those such as Takashimaya & Robinson) with a huge supermarket at the basement. In the vicinity, there's other shopping centres with international brands in it. Chongwenmen Subway station exit B is just a 5mins walk away. The hotel facilities are second to none. Room has full temperature control and is really effective! The room is also noticeably bigger than standard hotel rooms. The lobby has a chill vibe with a bar & pool table in it which can provide a suitable place to hang out at night. This hotel provides in-bound local day tours in English to major attractions such as Badaling & Mutianyu Great Wall, Forbidden City etc, pretty important for English speaking hotel guests IMHO. Yes, it is pretty expensive but takes away much of your worries if you can't speak Mandarin. Overall, definitely coming back to this hotel. I kinda partially regret moving to the 2nd hotel 2 stations away as this location is better for me.
