Cheaper option in Lido (li du) area of Beijing
The hotel is a bus ride form metro stations, which for out-of-towners can be tricky... I had business in that area, and compared to the competition it was by far the cheapest, but rooms needed some renovation to restore it to former glory ...

The hotel is super old and lack of mantainece. The bathtub are black and full of mold. we requested changed twice. Two rooms are the same condition. And full of smoking smell. The dirtyness is the worst I ever seen. It is in fact less than one Star hotel.

Hotel lobby is only looks nice. But room are not well maintained carpet is dirty . Washroom are very old style hallway carpet is very bad . Not recommended at all.

Older hotel. Impressive lobby
Had four nights. Plenty of restaurant handy.. from Michelin star to local. Mall about 2 km away When I checked out I sat in lobby area but apparently in that part of the lobby you had to order drinks. That annoyed me. They had no customers. I refused to move. Not a great way to finish. Stupid as. Would not stay again.

Öur booking requested a double bed non smoking room. On arrival we were shown a room with double bed one side against a wall therefore no access. A smoking room which smelt of smoke in a very poor condition after going down to the reception at first they refused to acknowledge our complaint. I then went down and had a row and reluctantly they gave us another room non smoking with twin beds While not great it was acceptable we paid over. US$ 195. Per night which in our opinion was expensive for such a basic hotel The reception staff did not speak English and were generally most unhelpful I could not recommend this hotel

the house keeping staff were the worst I have seen . I was accused of staining a towel with my make up and was told will have to pay for it because they cannot guarantee that they will be able to wash it off . After trying to call the manager to ask for rules written with regard to that , there came someone instead of the manager reassuring me that I will not be made to pay anything . This shows that there is no guarantee that the towels used by guests are clean enough . I also saw how the cleaners hoove the rooms and it is far from clean . They just to a over the top cleaning for 1 -2 min . They hardly ever do dusting over the furniture . The front desk are rude

Closed to airport. Staff friendly. Breakfast very good it gave you impressive experience in eating in China. Room clean, but some little facilities are old. Hotel surrounding environment are good. there is a big park nearby. Because Beijing general traffic jam , sometimes even taxi driver doesn't like to take passenger to city centre. In the winter season, stay in hotel is comfortable. Recommend to my friends.

The location of the hotel was good but there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel (road and apartments being built next door) so walking around is a bit of a pain (outside the hotel). The staff struggles with English and getting instructions and directions was not easy - although they tried to be helpful. Overall, I would recommend the hotel as a good value for Beijing.

Out rage?????
First of all, the bathtub leaks, so you could not take a bath , even if you take a shower then the water leaks into the whole bath room. Secondly I drank a tin of beer, and I replaced it the next day, but when I check out they still charge me for the beer that I drank, saying that the beer that I replaced is different from theirs. But a Bud is a Bud, they can't flew it in from USA. Thirdly the Wi-Fi in the room is out ravenous. Once you join it and then when you leave the room, you have to join it again.

A hotel that needs a physical and service upgrade
Even though I have been staying here since 2009, not one employee who recognized me said "Welcome back!" Not one. Most employees never seem to smile. Concierge staff often literally just lead over the tall desk and stare off into the distance. Most dining room staff just talk to one another or play with their cellphone. Disappointing!

This hotel is ok but only that. The rooms have all the usual amenities but they are nothing special. The breakfast was adequate. The location is ok as a half way to to the city from the airport . The price was moderate.

Hotel is ok but staff are not friendly.
Need to check out early morning, trouble with credit card machine they cannot refund my deposit. They said i have to wait for one month. I said no i cant wait 4 a month to refund my deposit and it took me an hour waiting.

The service was excellent. I greatly appreciated that the front desk always had someone who was fluent in English. My phone ran out of money and the head clerk allowed me to pay him cash to add more money through his own phone app. The room was pleasant although smaller than Western standards. However, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have had in China.

Hope they make a comeback
I've always liked the Rosedale... but I think they are declining. Could be because of new management, but staff is now young, perhaps not well trained... English speakers are few & not proficient. I like this neighborhood so I'll probably try them again on my next trip to BJ to see if they can return to what I've experienced in the past.

Rosedale's rooms were fine and clean, though a bit old. No problems with the staff. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of dishes, though it was a bit expensive at RMB124. (US$1= RMB6.7.) Not much surrounding the hotel. Overall, the hotel offered good value for the money.
