Zentral und bequem

Pros: Freundlicher Service, Sicherheitsgefühl, schnelle Erfüllung der Wünsche und sofortige Reaktion bei Beschwerden. Die zentrale Lage.
Cons: Handtuchversorgung, Reinigung der Badezimmer.
Location: Zentral und alle Bequemlichkeiten in der Nähe.
Das Hotel liegt zentral im Hamra-Bezirk. Zu Fuß (15-25 Min.) oder mit einem Taxi zu den normalen und üblichen Stadtpreisen kann man alle zentralen Zielen der Stadt erreichen oder auch das Meer und die Corniche/Strandpromenade. Sehr gute Einkauf- und Essensmöglichkeiten, ob bürgerlich oder gehoben. Die Preisspanne ist nicht groß und akzeptabel für Beirut. Das Hotel scheint jedoch ein Handtuch und Reinigungsproblem zu haben, denn die wurden alle zwei Tage erledigt oder täglich aber nicht bemerkbar und die Badetücher-Versorgung fand ebenfalls alle zwei Tage statt, ein kleine Aufforderung in der Rezeption war allerdings immer erfolgreich. Fazit: Preis/Leistung dieses Angebot war top und wiederholungswert.

Excellent quality for price

Well run hotel, good standards, large and clean rooms, good restaurants in a nice central neighborhood. Access by car is a bit difficult because of traffic.

This hotel is really run down. The Internet is patchy at best, and the pillows were some of the worst I've experienced. Choose a different hotel.

Disappointed but hopeful

I love the Commodore and have stayed there 3-4 times/year for the past 3 years and have frequently recommended to others as the place to stay for value, comfort, location, convenience, and safety. However, this was the first time I was disappointed. The room seemed more run down and not up to par: furniture damaged, walls scuffed, only 1of 2 plugs worked so difficult to charge anything or plug in kettle for coffee, in-room coffee/tea service less choices (where is my 3in1!?!), chair had stains on it, toilet ran, and dirt along the wall and in bathroom. As a frequent guest I was surprised and saddened as I love this hotel and hope they will improve. Customer service has always been great--the people who work there are always friendly and helpful!
