Elizabeth was such a gracious host. We enjoyed our stay very much in this tradiotion Irish farmhouse. It is not modern but so comfortable. It felt like a warm and welcoming home. Located right on the shores of Lough Neagh, You look out your bedroom window and have a beautiful water view. If you drive it will be fine, but if yo taxi or uber it gets pricey!

We enjoyed our stay at bay cottage,Elizabeth our host was very welcoming and made us feel at home,the room was immaculate well presented clean and tidy with tea and coffee facilities,lovely modern shower with complimentary shampoo and shower gel,delicious cooked breakfast with home made bread and jams as well as a choice of cereals and fruit Due to the rural location a car or cycle is recommended as no public transport locally,there is a lovely little pub 5 mins walk away. This is undoubtedly the best B&B I have ever stayed in,fantastic service from Elizabeth and nothing is too much trouble,we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this lovely place and would most definitely stay again

Lovely B&B
short overnight stay but was really well looked after. Met in the evening and shown around. Lovely breakfast in the morning and a nice chat. Bed was very comfy, shower good and overall cleanliness and finish was great. Would stay again if in the area.

Found this a very relaxing place to stay. Although I was only there 1 night it was lovely. Beds were so comfy, clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Lady of the house( sorry forgot name) was very welcoming. Would recommend anyone to stay there. P.S beautiful lake view.

Nice cozy place by the lake
To be close to the BFS airport, this B&B is ideal, being only 10 minute drive away. It is, however, 35 minute drive away from Belfast city center. It is closer to Antrim, actually. We stayed here for just one night in one of the upper floor rooms before our return flight. The private bathroom on the upper floor is spacious and clean. Our window overlooks Lough Neagh with a beautiful view of sunset. We had to leave early, and Elizabeth kindly provided us with energy bars since we did not have time for breakfast. It The evening was peaceful and perfect for a good night rest we needed after touring for one week.

I booked this place because it was near the airport, and provided a 'shuttle service' to and from the airport. Elizabeth was, on the whole, a very nice host, who kindly agreed to pick me up and check me in earlier than the stated time. However, that night she advised me that she could not take me back to the airport because her daughter was ill and could not be left for any length of time. I was very annoyed by this, especially when I met her daughter shortly before leaving and, while she was in a dressing gown, she didn't appear to have any life-threatening condition. Elizabeth handed me a list of taxi firms for me to arrange myself, and at cost to myself. I ended up having to pay almost £16 for a ten minute journey because the taxi had to come 6 miles to pick me up. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that I had to cash on my at the time, which made a difficult situation more stressful, as I had no idea if the driver would accept card payment. Fortunately for me, he did, because if he hadn't I would have had to enter the airport terminal to access the only ATM in the area. I don't think a host should offer a service and not deliver it. One of the main reasons I booked this establishment was this service. She did offer to take me at 9 am but this was one and a half hours before check out time and 5 and a half hours before my flight back home after a flight from the US. Lovely room, nice breakfast, but an experience let down by the thoughtlessness of the host.

I am baffled by your low score for what you say was a lovely room and a nice breakfast - that is what my B&B offers. I may add you didn't mention the 2 rounds of sandwiches and salad garnish produced at the drop of a hat at cost price or the welcoming tea and cake provided when you first arrived. It is quite clear on the entry for my B&B that the lifts to and from the airport are not part of the package but may be available by prior arrangement - there is no charge for them. You did not reply to my welcome email or contact me explaining your plans and so your phone call at 09.30 on the day of your stay wanting to arrive immediately was rather a surprise. Picking you up several hours before my earliest check in time was at considerable inconvenience but I felt sorry for you when said you were exhausted and needed to sleep. At no time did I say my daughter had a life threatening condition, what I did say was that she had just had surgery and we were told she was not to be left on her own for the following 24 hours. Medical advice which all right thinking individuals would accept is not to be ignored. I offered you a lift as late as I could i.e. while my husband was still at home, and as to leaving you to arrange a taxi - well that is what most guests like to do so they can haggle for the best price. I did suggest that you ask in advance as to whether the taxi driver would accept credit cards but obviously you failed to follow up on that suggestion. In future perhaps you should use the services of Airport Hotels, as you yourself pointed out our local one charges nearly 3 times as much as I do for room only but then of course you wouldn't have the additional cost of one taxi fare. Truly outstanding. Once you land to Belfast, give Elizabeth a ring from the pay phone in the airport; she will pick you up. The room is comfortable and clean and I have never seen more cozy common area downstairs. Let's not forget the breakfast... you can order breakfast in the menu and everything is extremely good (the breakfast is included in the price so you don't have to pay anything). When I'm traveling, I pay extra attention to the food and the breakfast went above and beyond. Honestly, it was a steal to stay in B&B like that in such inexpensive prices. When you want to check out Belfast and rest of the Northern Ireland, it is best to take a shuttle from the airport and which Elizabeth will give you the ride. It's about 30-40 minutes bus ride but it is enjoyable because everyone in Northern Ireland (and Ireland, in my experience) is quite nice and genuinely curious.

My View of the Theory of Relativity
Good price for convenient airport location. Elizabeth is a helpful, pleasant host. Nice bathroom, and plenty of room in the bedroom. Good, filling breakfast. Good directions given to navigate the rural location, with nice view of the lake(lough) just beyond the nice backyard with its non-noisy ducks. And while you're in a very rural setting, it's an easy 5-10 minute drive to the airport.

This B&B had the best breakfast we've had. The site was a little hard to find but well worth the drive. It was a quiet country spot with a great view of fields and the lough. Elizabeth recommended a good local restaurant and a great tourist site on our drive up from Dublin (Newgrnge). We recommend it to others.

Quiet comfortable B&B
Located the B&B with the help of a NAV system on an out of the way one lane roadway. Beautiful setting across from the lake with black sheep in the pasture. Owner was gracious and helpful upon our arrival. Room was decent size; beds were comfortable; bathroom across the hall was spacious with a good sized tub with shower. Convenient with a short drive to good restaurants and pubs. Breakfast selections were varied and well prepared. Quiet nights with no traffic. Close to the Belfast International Airport for quick travel for departure. Wonderful stay; would stay again.

Blissful stay
Such a bliss to stay at Bay Cottage! Our room (The Green Room) has the full view of the lake, such a joy to watch the swans and ducklings in the lake. The room is clean and well equipped, very comfortable bed. Elizabeth is a wonderful host, very thoughtful and considerate, also very knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast is made of many local produce and absolutely delicious.
