Friendly staff, comfortable bed & good air conditioned room. Walking distance to various tourist attractions. But we can’t really closed the window so we got a bit noise from the street.

Staff varied from going extra mile to talking way too much due to nervous personality type to not that friendly to just right. Room did have a crumb or 2 from previous guests under the couch and a stain on a porcelain floor tile but it’s hard to be perfect and overall I would for sure stay there again.

The only positive about this hotel is its central position. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below even basic expectations. The carpets throughout the room were stained, and the vent in the toilet was broken and wouldn’t switch off. It sounded like someone was hoovering outside our door we waited a good couple of hours. When we tried to call reception to report it, the phone in the room didn’t work either. We went downstairs to complain and were told someone would come up. The staff member who arrived rudely explained that if you stand in the toilet and twist the vent, it might stop because it sometimes gets jammed. Are guests genuinely expected to do that themselves? There was also no hot water. A member of staff had to come into the room and start turning taps under the sink before telling us the shower had an “air pocket”. When he said this, I honestly thought he was joking. The bath was stained, the carpets were stained, and even the breakfast was poor. Super disappointed. I would avoid.

Room was grotty. Blood on curtains and nets. Housekeeping very sloppy. Left pyjama trousers under the quilt and at the very bottom of the mattress so it is obvious that the quilt hadnt been even lifted off the mattress. Pillow like bricks and just flung against the headboard with no attempt to align them. Heat constantly cut off during freezing nights. No supervision at breakfast with no check if resident on entering dining room - plus some "guests" filling 4 and 5 cardboard boxes of food and wandering off. Buffet items emptied and no replenishment. I can only assume their stays are not personally funded - id guess government funded. Bar area totally soulless and BBC Radio 1 not the best background din in it. Overall most disappointing. Compared to 2 years ago this place is on the slide. Never a 4 star

The sofa bed's springs gave us a sore back. They were digging into our skin. There was no seal around the bath plug so the bath water ran out.

The room was very cold most of the time in room.You couldn't turn on heating yourself in room. I had to ask reception for a blow heater to keep warm. The breakfast was cold also. The sausages,bacon,egg,beans ,tomatoes and mushrooms for an ulster fry were all cold. They were on heat plates to to keep food warm but they still were cold. I wouldn't go back again We had two hour's sleep all night because it was so cold in room. The girl on reception says the heating only gets turned on at selective times during the day but in a freezing January day out side the heating should be on all day.

We queued for 20 mins to check in, about 40 mins after check in opened. Despite our room being next to the elevators, it was quiet and we slept well. Go for breakfast early. We went about 9am and got seated fine. But when we were leaving, there was a very long queue of people waiting to be seated. Im guessing, 20-30mins wait. Not a bad place to stay. Its one of the cheaper hotels in the city, and its our 3rd year staying there.
